A discovery in the Jerusalem Church of the Holy Sepulcher that has been described as a sensation has caused a stir. A considerably large marble altar has suddenly and unexpectedly appeared. The rediscovery of a relic from the times of the Crusades that had disappeared from “consciousness”.
Missing piece appeared behind wall
The Vatican rejoices and the “researchers” are amazed. An altar that was thought to be lost was discovered in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem. Not just any small structure that is reminiscent of a larger grill, but a structure that is 3.5 meters wide (Source). The discovery was made during renovation work during which a stone slab weighing several tons was removed. A magnificently decorated marble altar, inaugurated in 1149.

This year, after centuries of Muslim rule, the Roman Catholic Church once again had control of Jerusalem. After the city was conquered by the so-called Crusaders, “one of the greatest shrines in Christianity” was re-inaugurated. In 1808 a fire raged in the Romanesque part of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Since then, the marble altar had “disappeared from general consciousness.”
Nevertheless, there are traces that lead to Rome (“all roads lead to…”). The altar contains decorations that could only have been created by masters of papal Rome. But the answer to this riddle is already ready: the Pope sent a Cosmatesque master to Jerusalem in order to underline Christianity’s “claim to the city”. The head of the church also honored “the holiest church in Christianity.”
Christian powder
The position described by the Vatican media merely illustrates the Pope’s claim to represent Christianity as the head. On the other hand, the statements “Catholicism’s holiest church” and “the Roman Church’s claim to the city” would correspond to reality. Because the institution and its cultivated traditions only have something to do with Christianity on the surface.
Altar is Catholic, not Christian
Some contexts contradict Christianity according to the Gospel. This starts with the altar itself. What is an altar? A place of sacrifice. As is well known, the Roman Catholic Church sacrifices Jesus Christ every single time using the ritual of the Eucharist. A complete contradiction to the fact that Jesus Christ gave the unique and forever valid sacrifice with His extremely bloody death on the cross. Illustrated in Hebrews 10:10:
“By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”
and Romans 6:10:
“For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.“
Therefore, the constant re-sacrifice by the Catholic priest is not only unnecessary, but highly blasphemous and a direct rejection of the saving work of Jesus Christ, His mockery and the constant holding in His death (Info). Therefore, the altar and the Eucharist are Catholic, but not Christian.
Pagan structure of the altar

How far the Roman Church stands from the Gospel, especially from the Old Testament, is also made clear by the structure of the blasphemous altar. As in the case of the Jerusalem Church of the Holy Sepulcher, whose rediscovered marble altar was consecrated in the 12th century, the basic construction and installation completely contradict God’s instructions for the sacrificial altar of the tabernacle or temple, which was still necessary before Christ’s sacrifice.
The structure of the altar of burnt offering is described in Exodus 27. Made of acacia wood, covered with ore. However, the acacia wood was the cladding of the stone structure. The altar was not in the building or tent, but outside in the forecourt (Info).
What the stone altar should be like is shown in Exodus 20:25-26: beschrieben:
“And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it. Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.“
Uncut stones, i.e. not worked with chisels or other tools. In the Roman Catholic Church, any altar, which is completely superfluous anyway, is made of manufactured stone, or marble as in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem. In addition, the church altar generally stands on a gallery and not at ground level, as described by another of God’s regulations. Therefore, an altar used in the church is purely Catholic, but not Christian.
Orientation of the church buildings
Another complete reversal of the biblical guidelines can also be found in the orientation of the churches. As a rule, the entrance to the church is in the west, while the altar is in the east. However, the tabernacle had its entrance in the east and went west toward the altar of burnt offering, and in the far west was the Ark of the Covenant in the Holy of Holies. Therefore, the usual church buildings are Catholic, but not Christian.
Why is a grave a sanctuary?
The Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem, or the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, stands on the presumed grave of Jesus Christ. At least that’s what the Roman Catholic Church says. Whether this is true at all can safely be doubted, because the archaeologists and historians provide enough information to be able to doubt the church’s claim without a “bad conscience”.
There are also pieces of wood issued by the church circulating around that are said to come from the original cross of Christ and are being sold for horrendous money. The Apostle Peter was also said to have once sat on the “Holy See” in St. Peter’s Basilica, until historians made it clear that this chair was given as a gift by Charles III (Charle the Fat, 839-888) out of gratitude for the imperial title he received from the Pope. The Donation of Constantine, exposed as a gigantic forgery as early as the 15th century, was the basis for the Roman Church’s claim to authority and lands in the former Western Rome and over the Eastern Church, with the Pope having power equivalent to that of an emperor.
Practiced death cult

With such a “love for truth” shown by the Roman Catholic Church, the thesis about the burial site of Jesus Christ as one of the “holiest places in Christianity” can also be judged accordingly. Here again the question arose as to why a place of death should be one of the shrines of Christianity. Undoubtedly of great importance for Catholicism, because their extensive death cult is legendary.
Just as the Eucharist is intended to keep Jesus Christ in a state of death, just as the Roman Catholic Church prefers to depict the Savior hanging dead on the cross, the veneration of the presumed burial place corresponds accordingly. The papacy and its traditional paganism bow to a fiction, but not to the God of the Bible, Matthew 22:31-32:
“But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.“
Pretty much everything completely reversed
The traditions of the Roman Catholic Church are almost universally opposed to the Gospel in every aspect, especially when it comes to the saving work of Jesus Christ. It is given a Christian garb, but fulfills the adversary’s specifications. That’s only natural (Info).
| Gospel | Catholicism |
| No altar necessary since Jesus Christ’s one-time and everlasting sacrifice | Daily re-sacrifice of Jesus Christ |
| Altar made of uncut stones | Altar handcrafted |
| Altar standing on the ground at ground level | Altar on pedestal, accessible via steps |
| Altar stood outside in the forecourt | Altar is in the building |
| Tabernacle from the entrance, east-west orientation | Church from the entrance, west-east orientation |
| God is a God of the living, not of the dead | Venoration of the dead through worship and relics |
| Jesus Christ’s work of salvation (also) consists of His resurrection | Presumed tomb of Jesus is one of the “holiest” sites |
And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
