UK study shows ongoing attacks against Christianity

Among all the major faiths and religions, Christianity plays a special role. While religiosity is generally accepted, tolerance quickly ends when it comes to the topics of “Jesus Christ, the Gospel and the only Savior”. A study confirms the long-standing attack against Christianity in Great Britain. Just a section of the overall picture.

Being a Christian is now frowned upon

In the meantime, a somewhat strange situation has arisen in matters of faith. If you meet strangers and religion becomes a topic in the conversation, you can expect a completely different reaction from the other person, depending on their religious affiliation. If you, as a “die-hard” European, identify yourself as a Buddhist or Hindu, this seems to trigger a keen curiosity, even recognition and sometimes even admiration. “Buddhism, yes, that has something!”, a religion of peace.

Hinduism appears ‘more attractive’ than Christianity

Hinduism appears exotic and mysterious, a religion of “diversity”. Also a steep template for yoga enthusiasts. A European with blonde hair and blue eyes who claims to be a Muslim is more likely to be met with surprise. The questions about why are guaranteed to follow. However, confession of Jesus Christ creates a completely different atmosphere. Emphasizing that one is a Christian through and through and focused on the gospel tends to produce a wrinkled nose, a frown in a negative and perhaps even pitying attitude. And this in the middle of Europe, in the so-called West, to which Christianity is inextricably linked.

Gospel has long been screwed up

An unsurprising development. The “good reputation” of the Gospel was systematically infiltrated, undermined and destroyed right from the founding days of the Roman Catholic Church that still exists today. The Church of Rome, in its self-aggrandizement, took it upon itself to justify its own dogmas and political influences by upholding the Bible. This church prevented the common people from reading the Bible independently under the threat of death.

An injustice committed over centuries, an atrocity and excessive self-enrichment, always in the “name of Jesus Christ”. This will not go away without a trace and has had a significant impact on Christianity. The original Reformation brought some light into the pitch darkness of the Roman Church, but that candle has long since gone out. The houses that still call themselves Protestant today have specialized in hiding the Gospel and are largely only concerned with lighting smoke candles. They contribute significantly to people’s increasingly hostile attitude towards Christianity.

The once Protestant churches serve the field of left-green, colorful diversity of “woken” ideology. A thoroughly atheistic area. Churches strive to create a connection to Christianity through absurd distortions of the gospel. The brutal tyranny over centuries on the part of the Roman Catholic Church and the schizophrenia used in the once Protestant churches. You don’t have to “think out loud” about it in order to associate a “dangerous madman” in the “intellectual backwater” on the subject of Christianity.

This schizophrenia of the former Protestant churches is made clear by the fact that they support the ideology of “wokeness” that wages an open battle against Christianity. So it’s no wonder that keywords like “Christianity”, “Jesus Christ” and “Bible” trigger shivers and pustules on the skin of many people.

Scorn and ridicule towards Christians

It will be like the days of Noah

Although not in Germany, the situation that has now arisen in Great Britain can still be used as representative. This organization “Voice for Justice UK” surveyed over 1,500 Christians in the United Kingdom about how they were treated after they became Christian believers. The poll is “The Costs of Keeping the Faith.”

In Germany the media hardly reports anything about the actual and, above all, ongoing developments in the UK. The special spice of the survey report is the news that the UK is now officially recognized as one of the five countries with the most anti-Christian hate crimes in Europe. This was also the reason for the self-conducted survey among Christians in the UK.

Rising hostilities

Among people younger than 35, 38 percent feel their freedom of expression is restricted. When Christians talked about their religious beliefs, they received hostility 56 to 61 percent of the time, depending on age group. More than half of those surveyed said there was prejudice against Christians in their workplace. Three quarters (78%) said the issue of religious discrimination is not taken as seriously as other forms of discrimination.

Frequent triggers of hostility towards Christianity include the following statements:
– A true marriage only takes place between a man and a woman
– Sexual relationships before marriage should be avoided
– Abortion is always wrong
– People are born male or female

A potential powder keg

One potential danger not addressed by the study is how Christians may respond to blasphemy. According to the evaluation, blasphemy is ubiquitous. Interviewees express their discomfort when blasphemy is openly spoken in their environment. For Christians, when God’s name is taken in vain, it is an insult to the Lord. However, the study authors demand that Christians should not put up with blasphemy, even if censorship is not welcomed at this point.

What should be the reaction of a Christian after blasphemy by a third party if censorship is excluded? The authors of the study do not provide an answer to this, but conclude this point by recommending “better information and greater sensitivity.”

Anyone who as a Christian receives the Gospel as it is written, especially the New Testament, may well feel discomfort, but the reaction should be limited to pointing out this error to the blasphemer. Done, no more. John the Baptist explained to Herod Antipas that it was wrong to marry Herodia. This is adultery. That was it.

Any form of sanctions by Christians against blasphemers is arrogance and the Christian has completely misunderstood something at this point. Jesus Christ does not need a lawyer to enforce His rights, to actually defend the law, to pronounce judgment and also to enforce it. The opposite is the case. The Christian needs Jesus Christ as his advocate. Jesus Christ alone is lawgiver, judge and executor. The call that Christians should not accept blasphemy from a third party carries the danger of being a powder keg. The Roman Catholic Church has demonstrated over many centuries how such things can degenerate.

Reformation in England

The study nevertheless shows how widespread discrimination against Christianity is within a country that gave a lot of blood to free itself from the tyranny of the Roman Catholic Church. King Henry VIII initiated the emergence of the Anglican Church in the 16th century, but only under the “reserve” of the ownership rights of the English Crown.

This right had been in the hands of the papacy since Pope Innocent III (until 1216) after the handover by King John I. After all, the Reformation also produced greats like William Tyndale in England. He translated the Bible into English and paid for it with his life. Still under the thumb of the Church of Rome, Tyndale was burned at the stake on October 6, 1536.

What is also noteworthy at this point is a certain schizophrenia among the “woken” people, who take a completely negative attitude towards Christianity and in a certain way give Islam preferential treatment. In England, some important cities are now run by Muslims. Muslim mayors are represented in London (Sadiq Aman Khan), Luton (Mohammed Yagub Hanif), Oxford (Lubna Arshad) and Oldham (Zahid Chauhan). But would any of the “diversity people” of unrestricted tolerance ever have the idea of entering a mosque with a rainbow flag or inviting the local imam to a pride event? Ultimately, Islam’s “tolerance” towards the rainbow ideology is obviously completely different than that of “Christianity”.

Attacks against Christianity without a doubt

The organization Voice for Justice UK has concluded that Christianity is under attack in Britain. There is no doubt about that. A reflection of what is also happening in other countries on the European continent. Gospel Christianity, with the emphasis on the gospel, is clearly to be put to an end. This was consistent with the developments described in Revelation chapter 11. “The two witnesses” will be killed and the people will rejoice. But for only three and a half days (Info).

During these three and a half days (= years) true Christianity will no longer play a role. Rather, a pseudo-Christianity based on a “today’s gospel”, developed in Rome and also published by her (Info).

The not unknown theologian, Sir Lloyd George Geering, made it clear around 20 years ago where the journey should go. Christian and Muslim fundamentalism are a “social evil.” The future would lie in a “Christianity without God” (2002). There is no place there for the traditional Christ as divine Savior. But there is definitely room for “Jesus the Teacher”, as a wise man who showed people the path to freedom. Geering was awarded the Order of New Zealand, the New Zealand Order of Merit and the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. He thus rendered great service to society and the British crown.

The worldly recognition of the now 106-year-old is thus secured. But that is not sustainable.

And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
