Urgent preparation for the coming, final tribulation is of vital importance for survival. However, this has absolutely nothing to do with food, stockpiling, and hiding behind thick walls; quite the opposite, in fact. Fundamentally, it is about spiritual preparation.

The hardship is the order of the day.
With uncanny certainty, the time will arrive when a human decree will mandate the observance of the first day of the week, Sunday. Preparations at the ecclesiastical, political, and even economic levels have been in full swing for years. The mandated Sunday rest is particularly pronounced in the USA. The government program “Project 2025,” published in 2023, even addresses this issue quite explicitly (Info).
Last but not least: The Bible predicts this end-times scenario (Info).
However, anyone who wishes to adhere “only” to God’s law will inevitably come into serious conflict with the state law of Sunday rest. Here, it is necessary to persevere until the finale, that is, the Second Coming of Jesus Christ (Revelation 14:12).
“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.“
Proper preparation for hardship

Preparation is key. But what does this preparation actually look like?
These precautions have absolutely nothing to do with stockpiling food (preppers). Nor do they involve an armed entrenchment in a fortress. Anyone who is persecuted would have to flee as fast as they can, as Jesus Christ urged his followers in Matthew 24. A ration for two weeks or more would be extremely difficult to carry anywhere, especially not over rough terrain into the wilderness.
“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.” (Matthew 24:15-18).
It is natural to raise the counter-argument that Jesus Christ meant these warnings to apply to his time and somewhat beyond. Indeed, the measures were relevant around 70 AD, when the Romans were on the verge of besieging Jerusalem for the second time. The city and the Temple were completely destroyed. Those who remained were hopelessly exposed to the general carnage, while the first Christians, who followed Jesus’ words, all managed to escape to safety beforehand (historical records of the contemporary witness Josephus Flavius).
However, Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount of Olives also has a prophetic aspect, as described in Daniel 12. Jesus also explicitly pointed out the importance of reading the book of Daniel (Matthew 24:15).
Preppers and fortifications are wrong.

Preparation for the so-called Great Tribulation is purely spiritual in nature and requires a thorough purification of one’s heart. Thus, the people of Israel were urgently encouraged to purify themselves at the beginning of the Trumpet Festival (1st of Tishri) in order to be able to stand firm on the Day of Atonement (10th of Tishri, Yom Kippur). No sinner can survive the consuming fire of God’s presence. For once intensely stressful times begin, the balanced peace necessary to study God’s will and then begin to change accordingly is gone. This must happen NOW!
Preparations for the time of tribulation
- Completely refrain from making any predictions about timing, because things always turn out differently than expected.
- Stockpiling food is unnecessary and can even be a hindrance.
- Keep calm. Love knows no fear (1 John 4:18).
- Hold fast to God’s Word, and not to any “Christian traditions.”
- Cultivate the love of truth (2 Thessalonians 2:10).
- Pray daily, preferably several times a day (Luke 18:1). Ask God for help from the Holy Spirit early in the morning
- Overcome sin NOW, even the “little” sins (Revelation 3:19)
- Faith based on God’s Word and not on any traditions
- Don’t believe every “miracle” beforehand, but first compare it with the Word of God to see if it was actually promised or could be true (Isaiah 8:20).
- Start cutting back drastically now on any excesses. Especially loans! You’ll lose everything anyway! (Info)
- Get some overdue physical exercise
- Live a simple life
- Provide mental support to your family
- Keep God’s coming Kingdom in focus (Matthew 6:33)
- Persevere, because the persecution itself is less dangerous than delays that last longer than expected.
No reason for fear or even panic

Those who are in Jesus Christ, who have accepted His love, have no need and will not be afraid.
God has also promised His people support, but not entirely without conditions, Isaiah 33:15-16:
“He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.“

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie..
