A speech given by Pope XIV to a delegation of politicians, civil servants, and officials of “Catholic goodwill” clearly shows the Babylonian wine that will lead humanity, intoxicated by it, to a “new world order” according to a Roman Catholic theocracy.

Drunks are easier to seduce
The kings and merchants of the earth are taken over by Babylon, as described in Revelation 18. While the merchants are intoxicated by Babylon’s abundant wealth, the kings of the earth are completely drunk on Babylon’s “wine of licentiousness.” Whether intoxicated or drunk, it doesn’t matter; both states prevent clear vision, critical thinking, and correct decisions, nor do they help overcome the greed for power and wealth. The beguiling whore of Babylon is responsible for distributing the poisoned wine so that the kings will surrender their power to the waiting, monstrous beast, thus jointly living out the new order. This is described quite clearly in Revelation 17.
“But how could that ever work?” is a perfectly reasonable question. However, the prophecies for the end of time contained in the Bible are already so far advanced in time that it’s no longer difficult to replace these “dry theories” with tangible examples.
(Future) Catholic leaders

A vivid example is the annual meeting of the “International Catholic Legislators Network (ICLN).” An organization founded in Austria in 2010 and based in Vienna. Described by Wikipedia as a “private association,” ICLN itself describes itself as a nonprofit LLC. In Austria, this is a non-profit corporation with corresponding tax benefits and exemptions. Thus, it is a non-profit organization (NGO). The ICLN aims to promote international networking among politicians and legislators.
The founders of this association are the Dutch legal scholar Christiaan Alting von Geusau, who has held honorary professorships at the University of San Ignacio de Loyola since 2018, and Bernhard Bonelli, Chief of Staff under former Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz. Bonelli earned an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain, an institution of the Catholic organization Opus Dei. One of the prominent patrons of this non-profit organization is Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, Archbishop of Vienna until January 2025.
The declared guideline of this association is the Catechism of the Roman Catholic Church. Its programs include the training of “young Christian global leaders,” who are seen as future political and government officials and are “urgently needed” by this world. ICLN also offers training in the “Academy for Political Leadership” for current politicians and government leaders. Certification programs and specialized courses teach Christian leadership in public office, principles of law and justice, Christian anthropology, and, last but not least, the implementation of Catholic social teaching in politics.
Pope Leo XIV explains it himself
The ICLN was founded in Trumau, has its headquarters in Vienna, but its annual general meeting is held in Rome. This also happened on August 23, 2025, and the most prominent speech of the NGO, founded only in 2010, was given by Pope Leo XIV in the Clementine Hall of the Apostolic Palace. (Pope’s speech).
The theme of the ICLN’s 2025 Annual General Meeting was “The New World Order: Major Power Politics, Corporate Dominions and the Future of Human Flourishing.” In his speech, the Pontiff addressed what he called a “stimulating theme,” saying he felt “both concern and longing.” Concern about the path the world has taken and longing for a world “where every person can live in peace, freedom, and fulfillment according to God’s plan.”
Augustine’s “City of God”

The Pope suggested to the representatives of the “legislative politicians” present that they consider the “outstanding Saint Augustine of Hippo.” As a leading voice of the Church, he had witnessed great upheavals and social disintegration in the late Roman era. Augustine’s response was his work “The City of God,” a work with visions of hope, according to Leo. A meaningful vision that can still be relevant today./p>
Augustine taught the intertwining of two kinds of statehood throughout human history: the “City of Man and the City of God.” Pope Leo explained to the assembly that the City of Man was characterized by pride and self-love, the pursuit of power. Its goals were prestige and pleasure. But the City of God was built on “selfless love of God,” characterized by “justice, charity, and humility.” According to Pope Leo, Augustine encouraged Christians to bring the values of the Kingdom of God into earthly society and thus orient history toward its “ultimate fulfilment in God, while also allowing for authentic human flourishing in this life.”
For “us believers,” therefore, the crucial question is: “How can we accomplish this task?”
Natural law implanted by God
How could it be otherwise? Pope Leo XIV considers natural law to be the measure of all things. The “integral development” of humanity, as understood by the Church, has its roots in natural law—that moral order illuminated by the Gospel of Christ and inscribed by God on the human heart, according to the Pontiff.
Politicians as bridges to the theocracy
The calling of Catholic legislators and civil servants lies in building bridges between the theocracy and the human state. The “future of human flourishing” depends on this. Leo called on those present to continue to serve the world, tempered by conscience and serving the law of human dignity. The “self-destructive mindset” that nothing will ever change must be abandoned.
This is what this looks like, the wine of Babylon
Natural law, which sprang from the minds of the pagan, polytheistic thinkers of Hellenism, is the doctrine that the Church of Rome claims for itself, packaged in Christian-looking garb, and sold as “its truth,” but not the teachings of Jesus Christ, nor His Gospel (Info). The natural law advocated and propagated by the Church of Rome with all its might is precisely what the Bible calls “Babylonian Wine.”
The literal Babylon of antiquity is the origin of all pagan religions. Therefore, it’s no surprise that many religious symbols of paganism are not used in the (supposedly) most diverse religions, but rather share the same symbolism or meaning. The sun wheel is one such example. It can be found in Buddhism, Hinduism, and Catholicism. The most prominent depiction of the sun wheel can be found on the floor of St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican. And in the center is the unmistakable obelisk of ancient Egypt. Hellenism, too, is rooted in Babylonian polytheism, merely “philosophically processed” (Info).
“Charity & Humility” – The Church of Rome?!

It’s obvious that Pope Leo XIV wasn’t referring to the principle of a “theocracy” per se, but rather to the “Roman Catholic State.” After all, Iran was already a “theocracy.” However, the values represented by the Church were ultimately decisive, and these were characterized by “justice, charity, and humility.” The prerequisite for allowing humanity to flourish in its entirety.
Is this still irony or already cynicism? How powerful must this wine of Babylon be to completely lose sight of the entire history, nature, and even the very genetic makeup of the Church of Rome?
The power based in Rome, which had adopted the language of ancient Rome, Latin, and had come to power in a smooth transition from the last emperor of the Western Roman Empire, seemed to have the goal of surpassing the persecutions of Nero, Domitian, Trajan, Valerian, Diocletian, and Galerius in their entirety. No organization in human history has left behind such a trail of destruction as the papacy. Anyone and everything that did not submit to the dogmas of the Papal States (theocracy) was persecuted, expelled, imprisoned, tortured, robbed, and murdered. As individuals or within entire ethnic groups. This is written history.
Are these the typical characteristics of “justice, charity, and humility,” or even the charity taught by Jesus Christ, let alone the Gospel as a whole? The self-proclaimed infallibility of this church alone prevents the inherent “spirit” from ever being able to change, nor from ever wanting to. Because:
“…and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.” (Revelation 13:2b).
Sober up and get out of Babylon!
In a state of complete intoxication, this history known as the “Dark Ages” can easily be forgotten. This applies to the “kings of the earth” as well as to the merchants (the great ones of the earth, Revelation 18:23), and to ordinary people. For the great danger, as the Pontiff has repeatedly demonstrated, is deception (Info). To recognize this persistent, omnipresent deception, one needs the Gospel, the pure wine, and not the poisoned brew of Babylon. Sober up and stay sober, that is the motto.
Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
