Mega statue of Mary inaugurated in Brazil – New pilgrimage center

Brazil is thoroughly steeped in Catholicism. This is a legacy of its former colonial power, Portugal, which acted under papal grace and guidance. Consequently, there is widespread superstition, idolatry, and, of course, the cult figure of Mary, idealized by the Roman Catholic Church.

Mega-statue of Mary

Taller, bigger, more imposing. In the city of Crato, in the Brazilian state of Ceará, a colossal statue of the Virgin Mary was inaugurated last Saturday (Sabbath). Not only is it now one of the tallest depictions of Mary in the world, but at a total height of 54 meters, it is about 16 meters taller than the Christ the Redeemer statue (38 meters) on Mount Everest in Rio de Janeiro. Without its pedestal, the Christ the Redeemer statue is “only” 30 meters tall. Only in Batangas, Philippines, has there been an even taller statue of the Virgin Mary, “the Mother of All Asia,” erected in 2021. Around 40,000 devout Catholics attended the ceremony. This statue of Mary is dedicated to the “apparition” of Mary in Fatima, Portugal, in 1917, “Our Lady of Fatima.”

Dom Geraldo Freire, Bishop of Inguatu, is naturally very enthusiastic. He now sees this region as a center of devotion, pilgrimage, and evangelization for all believers. Since it was, after all, a center of the Catholic faith, facilities for a new “sanctuary” were built around the statue of Mary, including a replica of the Chapel of the Apparitions in Fatima, Portugal.

Bishop Magnus Henrique Lopes of Crato, speaking at the dedication of the statue of Mary, called on the faithful to heed Mary’s calls for conversion and world peace. He stated that world peace would only come about when people have peace in their hearts. Brazil’s Minister of Education echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that the world needs “tolerance, fraternity, and charity.”

The statue’s creator, Ranilson Viana, considers the design of this depiction a result inspired by Mary. “Every detail of this sculpture embodies the Marian devotion she passed on to me,” Viana said. He described the work as “a form of prayer in motion.” (Source).

Viana already has his next visions. He plans to create a roughly 200-meter-high statue of Jesus, which would then be the tallest statue in the world. The artist wants to depict the one to whom Mary always points. Before that, however, he wants to make a pilgrimage to Fatima, because he promised Mary he would do so if she would allow him to complete his now-inaugurated work.

Catholicism is not the Gospel

Just a reminder. The Second Commandment of God, which in Catholicism, according to the Catechism, is appended to the First Commandment and has since been treated with silence. At the same time, this commandment has simply disappeared from the official, list-based presentation of doctrine (Info).

Exodus 20:4-5:
“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;“

Even from a prophetic perspective, in the antitype, this development can certainly be seen in the descriptions according to the 6th trumpet (Info).

A sixth trombone might be suitable here.

Revelation 9:17-19:
“And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths. For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.“

“Fiery, violet, and sulfur-yellow.” This certainly fits the unholy alliance of three: dragon, beast, and false prophet. Red, scarlet, and fiery red are associated with the dragon (e.g., Revelation 12:3 and Revelation 17:3). Violet represents the whore of Babylon sired by the beast (Revelation 17:4). Sulfur (yellow) is always connected with annihilation or destruction (Genesis 19:24, Deuteronomy 29:22, Psalm 11:6, Ezekiel 38:22, Revelation 14:10). Destruction and annihilation are brought about by the false prophet, identified in Revelation 19:20 as the “beast from the earth” (Revelation 13:11-18).

Unique assignments

This beast speaks like a dragon (Revelation 13:11), and alongside “devil, ancient serpent, Satan,” the term “dragon” is associated with destruction for the great adversaries (Info). The beast from the earth, or the false prophet, is clearly identifiable with the (once) Protestant military superpower USA (Info).

The spiritual aspect of the passage about the sixth trumpet describes a false teaching (power lies in their mouths) that has been introduced into the world and will spiritually kill a third of humanity. Isaiah 9:14 points to the significance of the tail. It represents the lies of false prophets. The “hottest candidate” among the possible false teachings that have brought entire congregations down is “wokeism” and its rainbow culture, including PriDE MONth, in all its facets. This is how, in an Evangelical Church of the EKD (Evangelical Church in Germany), four men are now being “married” to each other at once.

Those who don’t fall adhere to old traditions.

Revelation 9:20-21:
“And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.“

However, there are many people who do not participate in this rainbow frenzy and therefore do not fall. Instead, they fall, as before, through the unabated continuation of human traditions, including idolatry and false worship. This includes the veneration of images, statues, or even the exuberant glorification of fictitious queens of heaven and the erection of monumental buildings for them.
