Local SDA congregations resist the General Conference

The general, indeed most, local congregations of Seventh-day Adventists are far from happy with what the General Conference is doing, sometimes behind closed doors. This is especially true regarding joining the cooperation program with the United Nations. After the first week of January 2026, many Adventists sent an open letter to the UN.

Members of the local communities react

The General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists (GC, SDA) is under pressure. On January 9, 2026, Adventists from around the world wrote an open letter to the UN. The recipient was UN Secretary-General António Guterres. In this letter, they demand full cooperation and any kind of relationship between the GC and SDA and the United Nations (Petition).

UN-Befehle
Anyone who wants to be a UN NGO has to kowtow.

As things stand, the Green Globe (GC) more or less secretly concluded an agreement with the United Nations back in 1985 to be recognized as a non-governmental organization (NGO) and receive corresponding support. In return, and this applies to all UN-verified NGOs, the GC is obligated to implement the United Nations’ guidelines.

How this can be implemented became particularly evident in the years 2020 to 2023, during the pandemic declared by the World Health Organization (WHO). The GC made it clear that conscience and freedom of choice were subordinate to the GC’s (and thus the UN’s) guidelines. In this case, freedom of conscience was not even possible, let alone permitted.

Pastor Dr. Conrad Vine addressed this unbelievable situation very early on (Source). Conrad Vine also faced massive consequences for this. The “upper echelons” simply ousted him and effectively banned him from his home region, Michigan, USA. That’s something you have to come to terms with. Other pastors followed suit, officially aligning themselves with Conrad Vine. Other pastors, however, simply remained silent.

The Old Testament serves as a model

A dead fish starts to stink from the head down. This is also true in this case, just as in ancient Israel, or rather Judea. The people’s falling away from God’s laws and will always began at the top. God showed the prophet Ezekiel (Ezekiel 8) which secret atrocities were being committed and, above all, by whom. The prophet was led in a vision to the temple, and into a secret chamber. There stood 70 elders, each with a censer in their hand. They were enticing the idol gods with their incense. Seventy elders means that these were all the elders without exception, the highest spiritual authority among the people.

Israel acted worse than the Gentile nations. Judah acted even worse than (Northern) Israel. The former met its end at the hands of the Assyrians. God ultimately allowed Israel to fragment and its capital, Samaria, to be destroyed. Since then, Northern Israel (10 tribes) ceased to exist. Judah, on the other hand, was allowed to “survive,” but was exiled by the Babylonians for 70 years after the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple.

Judah was cut off

Book Ezekiel
Ezekiel – Prophet of God

This was the active period of Daniel and Ezekiel. The former at the royal court, the latter in the surrounding countryside. After the 70 years, things were far from back to normal. Judah was allowed to return home, but a large part of the population remained behind, cut off for 490 years (the 70-year week – Info). This 70-year week culminated in the appearance, ministry, and crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ did not come as “Immanuel” (God with us), but rather as “Yeshua,” that is, Jesus (God saves). The people desperately needed salvation, but very few accepted it.

And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
Luke 1:31-33
