The coming Antichrist is Islam, or so goes a now popular theory. But is this true? It’s easy to be tempted to agree. However, a look at the prophecies in the Bible quickly changes one’s mind. Too few people consult the Word of God on this subject, perhaps out of fear of losing their cherished narrative.
Frequently repeated claim
This is something you read and hear again and again, and with increasing frequency. Islam is said to be the coming Antichrist, the one who will bring ruin upon the world for seven years until Jesus Christ establishes His kingdom here on Earth. However, upon closer examination, this claim turns out to be a hoax. The only prerequisite for recognizing this is to look into the Bible, where the “Antichrist” is described.
The claim that Islam is spreading rapidly and will wreak havoc everywhere is often linked to other future events. These include, in particular, the emerging powers of Russia and China. These powers will come from the “north” and threaten, and even conquer, Israel. This is based on the biblical names “Gog and Magog,” mentioned in the end-times Book of Revelation, Revelation 20:8.
“And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.”
However, all of this turns out to be a rotten egg when one considers the context in addition to the biblical statements!
Some context on this

Only after 1000 years do “Gog and Magog” appear. Therefore, it can have absolutely nothing to do with what is currently happening on Earth. This also applies to Russia and China. If one treats this verse as an antitype of what has already literally happened (mostly in the Old Testament, Ezekiel 38:2; Ezekiel 39:6), then the same applies to “Gog and Magog.” These are described in the Old Testament as godless and criminal peoples (a type). Accordingly, “Gog and Magog” in Revelation refers to the same characteristics, but not to literal peoples. Most importantly: AFTER the 1000 years, not before!
One of many

Islam, one could also view it as being opposed to Christ, therefore anti-Christian. Quite accurate. But this also applies to Hinduism, Buddhism, Daoism, shamanism, Rastafari, etc. There were and are indeed a whole range of these, but it is precisely “THE Antichrist” who is yet to come. A variant of so-called Futurism, combined with Dispensationalism (“Pre-Rapture”). This view of the future, believed and propagated by Evangelicals, is not rooted in the Gospel, but is a product of the late 16th century. A purely Jesuit idea (Info).
Completely different than “expected”

According to the Bible, the end of the end times will unfold in a completely different way, and will have a very different outcome, than what apologists proclaim, particularly in connection with Islam as the Antichrist (Info). At the very least, this “Islam idea” is nothing new, but rather a reheating and intensification of this quite effective smokescreen.
What the Bible describes about the Antichrist requires consideration of ALL his characteristics, not just those excerpts that would also apply to Islam. However, all these biblical details categorically exclude Islam (Info).
However, for well over 1700 years, initially only a religious power, and shortly thereafter a political one, has existed whose characteristics correspond in ALL points to the biblical descriptions of the future earthly adversary. A truly brilliant testimony to a whole range of these characteristics is presented to us in written form by a member of this organization himself. Today, the figure highly revered by this antichrist institution, even placed in its internal “Hall of Fame,” is Lucius Ferraris, mentioned here without his attribute of “saint” (Info).
Only changeable to the eye

This Antichrist power is like a chameleon; it never changes its characteristics, only its appearance. Initially linked to unimaginable, cruel tyranny, then deposed (Info), now through flattery and deception (fo), and shortly before the very end again through sheer violence, as the succession of powers is described particularly in Revelation 17 (Info)
All, absolutely all, descriptions in the Bible—character, actions, time of activity, etc.—apply solely to the Papacy (Info)! Even though Islam is spreading (man-made), especially in Europe, and will likely lead to significant problems, it is not THE antichristian system that was prophesied in the Gospels. Islam as the Antichrist is, like so many other things, one of the numerous, blatant smokescreens to divert attention from Rome. After all, they don’t want to be seen as the saviors of humanity.ur akzeptiert, sondern verehrt, die eigenen, gottesfeindlichen Gesetze mit Freude befolgt, ja sogar angebetet werden.
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
