The reason for many other evils. The erroneous teaching about the immortal soul. An eternal theme as long as the Roman Catholic Church exists. So not for long.

The “Immortal Thing”
Unfortunately, it’s an “eternal, ongoing topic”, but nevertheless of such immense importance that one can unabashedly claim that it’s a matter of “All or Nothing“. The pitiful “immortal soul” of man. Especially taught by the Roman Catholic Church and only introduced over time by the former Protestant churches. Martin Luther was a pioneer of the Reformation who rejected the immortal soul and spoke of a “sleep of the soul”. Actually, the Church of Rome also knows very well that the Bible actually speaks of the “living human being is the soul” (Info). But this church simply teaches something different (CCC 366).
The Bible itself gives some examples that clearly indicate the true nature of the soul (Info).
Other examples in the Bible are:
– Deuteronomy 3:16– 2 Samuel 7:12
– 1 Kings 1:21; 2.10; 11.21; 11.43; 14.20; 14.31; 15.6; 15.24
– 2 Kings 10:35; 3.9; 13:13; 14.16; 22.29; 15.7; 22.38; 16.20; 20.21; 21.18; 24.6
– 2 Chronicles 9:31; 12.16; 14.1; 16:13; 21.1; 26.2; 26.23; 27.9; 28.27; 32.33; 33.20
– Job 3:16; 7.21; 12/14
– Psalm 13:3; 76.6; 76.5; 90.5
– Jeremiah 51:39; 51.57
– Daniel 12:2
– Matthew 9:24; 27;52
– Mark 5:39
– Luke 8:52
– John 11:11
– Acts 7:60; 13.36
– 1 Corinthians 11:13; 15.6; 18.20
– 1 Thessalonians 4:13-15
– 2 Peter 3:4
If the soul was floating around somewhere, how can the Bible then speak of those who have “fallen asleep” and what should the “resurrection” look like?
Forbidden necromancy
Necromancy, that’s the term, which is basically based on the erroneous doctrine of the “immortal soul”. But they don’t exist, the “spirits/souls of the deceased”! If anything appears during such an incantation session, which is an abomination to God, it is certainly not the soul of a deceased person. It is a demon that imitates the dead that is invoked, and it is so deceptively real that everyone who has already gathered together to conjure up the dead will fall for it.
Idea of a Thales of Miletus

This saga about a hell, the kingdom of heaven, with the souls of the dead is not based on the Gospel, but on Hellenism and its mythologies. Something the Roman Catholic Church is “on fire” about. Natural law is the foundation of their social doctrine (Info). Thomas Aquinas clearly placed the emphasis on natural law according to Aristotle and Plato. But their original idea of an immortal soul was not from both of them, but from a Thales of Milet (Info).
The unspeakable prayers, some even mantra-like, to the supposed eternal virgin, immaculate Mary, who was supposedly ascended to heaven, required an erroneous immortal soul. This also applies to the countless “blessed and holy”. However, they cannot intercede or put in a good word. “Prayers to the dead” are generally an abomination in the eyes of God. But the Church of Rome doesn’t care.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
John 5:25-29
