Evangelical Church celebrates Halloween service – Spooky fun?

“No conflict between Reformation Day and Halloween, but wonderfully suited to celebrating such a special spooky church service.” An Evangelical church in northern Bavaria is also holding a Halloween party in 2025.

Reformation or Halloween?

On October 31st, the remaining Protestants celebrate Reformation Day, while occultists and the uninitiated celebrate Halloween. These two occasions on the same date are completely incompatible, because the Reformation brought people far closer to the truth of the Gospel than had been the case for centuries before due to the restrictive censorship by the Roman Catholic Church, and Halloween is anything but the exciting day for children where they can choose between trick-or-treating (Info).

The Protestant Church enters into a symbiosis

For the Melanchthon Church in Nuremberg, there seem to be no conflicts whatsoever between Reformation Day and Halloween. Once again, Dr. Tia Pelz, the pastor in charge there since September 2022, is inviting everyone to attend the family service on October 31, 2025, with the motto “Halloween meets Reformation.” Pelz is a self-confessed lover of icons, and especially of the “revolutionary Jesus.” (Source).

Halloween should be “consciously brought back into the church,” Pelz said, referring to the “Halloween service” held last year. Attend a “spooky church” for a day filled with hauntings, ghost stories, dancing, and candy. Visitors are welcome to come in costume. (Source).

The pastor explained that the service was intended to mock the “power of death.” This was particularly significant because it took place so close to All Saints’ Day, a day of mourning for our loved ones, who we know are with God. The “Halloween service” premiered in 2023, and the Melanchthon Church welcomed around 120 attendees.

Halloween – The High Festival of the Occultists

Occult activities

Occultism wouldn’t be occult if it didn’t take place covertly or in secret. After all, the term “occult” simply means “covert, hidden.” Therefore, it takes more than just a superficial glance at the goings-on around Halloween. It’s noteworthy that for occult circles, October 31st is the most important day of the year. No other day is more significant.

Someone who knows very well the significance and, above all, the importance of Halloween for the occult community is the South African Riaan Swiegelaar. He is not only a former member of the Church of Satan in South Africa, but also its founder and leader. Another leading figure in this scene was Anton Szandor LaVey, founder of the Church of Satan in San Francisco (1966). He had something striking to say about Halloween: “I would like to thank Christian parents for allowing their children to celebrate the devil one night a year.”

Swigelaar is convinced that celebrating Halloween opens the floodgates to demons, a veritable invitation. This applies not only to one’s own household, but to the entire neighborhood, which children scour for candy. (Youtube). This is no joke, but a demonic reality. The former leader of the Satanic Church is issuing a stark warning.

Loss of touch with reality?

The argument of the pastor of Melanchthon Church, that “Halloween services” are held to “mocker the power of death,” is comparable to holding a drinking party with high-proof alcohol to “mock the power of alcohol.” God is stronger than evil spirits, the pastor claims, and God be with us. One can’t help but wonder, given her apparent disregard for the Gospel, whether she has ever actually read it.

Judges 13:4:
Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:
The term “impure” does not only refer to tangible things, such as unclean animals, carcasses, etc., but also to things in the spiritual realm.

Leviticus 19:31:
Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God./em>.”

2 Corinthians 6:17:
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

How can anyone think that God, who generally turns away from humanity in the face of sin (Isaiah 59:1-2), would extend His protective hand to someone who not only invites impurity personified but also celebrates it?

The Halloween party in the church, a building designated as a house of worship, vividly illustrates what is warned against in Revelation 18:2:
And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

Get out of there!

Book of John
True to the Gospel

The unclean birds and spirits referred to are none other than Satan and his fallen angels, the demons. Has the pastor ever read what happened to Saul when he consulted such a spirit? It’s also easy to see how the wine of Babylon can work. In a drunken state, it’s virtually impossible to maintain a critical mind. On the contrary, alcoholics often delude themselves into thinking that alcohol can’t harm them. And the greater the addiction, the more pronounced the will-o’-the-wisps.

It’s better not to celebrate Halloween and thus avoid celebrating the adversary, let alone going to a “house of worship” where Satan and his minions are invited to join the festivities.

In principle, this also applies to the Roman Catholic Church. While it condemns Halloween activities in its stated position, spiritualism is also on the agenda just one day later. With All Saints’ Day, the Roman Catholic Church observes the separate veneration of the deceased. No better, just with a “Christian touch.” This also makes it easier to conceal one’s own hypocrisy.

Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
Revelation 18:4-5
