Stranger and stranger things are happening on the internet, especially when it comes to spreading the truth. It seems that every trick in the book is being used to mislead people. One particularly egregious example is a relatively new collection of YouTube channels specializing in the preacher Dr. David Yonggi Cho. On the one hand, he’s a staunch Pentecostal, but apparently “called” to represent the teachings of the Seventh-day Adventists. Several things don’t add up, and therefore this could very well be a hoax.

Dr. David Yonggi Cho (1936–2021) was a South Korean Pentecostal pastor. Raised Buddhist, he converted to Christianity (due to concerns about women’s issues) and eventually studied theology in Seoul. Cho was not only a pastor employed by Pentecostal churches but also the founder of his own congregation. Starting with just five people in a tent, it grew to around 830,000 members by 2007, making it nothing less than the largest megachurch in the world.

He was, as they say, a controversial pastor. Clearly charismatic, and also convicted of embezzlement. This is therefore not a media tactic to exaggerate a mere “accusation” beyond recognition, but a concrete court ruling handed down in February 2014. (Source). It was “only” about 12 million dollars.
Cho died in 2021. It’s all the more astonishing, then, that a whole series of his sermons and speeches are circulating, recently released and sounding brand new. As if they were studio recordings. Because they aren’t essentially video recordings from a megachurch event or anything like that, but purely audio presentations, or rather, self-edited, general video presentations. Cho was Korean, grew up in Korea, studied in Korea, and founded and led a megachurch there, but his English seems—as far as I can tell as a non-native English speaker—to be without an accent. I would almost certainly be able to detect a German accent (e.g., “Günter Oettinger English” or “Erwin Huber English”). A cynic might suspect AI here.
Charismatic through and through
The presented lectures have a clear focus that seems to have been somehow “genetically” instilled in charismatic churches from their very inception. They deal predominantly with success in life, a happy life, career, contentment, money, wealth accumulation, managing money, “unlimited wealth through prayer,” “speak about your finances in Jesus’ name,” speaking in tongues, and even “tithing is a sin.”
As a reminder: These articles were published only a few months prior, and Cho died in 2021. Therefore, articles like “Why 2026 Could Be the Final Wake-Up Call for Every SDA Member” appear downright suspicious. For a Pentecostal pastor and even one of its founders to issue a “well-intentioned” warning to Seventh-day Adventist members, including a defense of the Sabbath, seems particularly odd.
Even more astonishing is a supposedly delivered lecture (“podcast”) by Cho, which piques curiosity simply by its title. Offered by a channel calling itself “YOUNGGI CHO WISDOM,” it features the Pentecostal pastor delivering a lecture entitled “What’s Coming for Adventists in 2026 Will Shock the Entire Christian World.” The channel operator tagged the post with hashtags including “AdventistProphecy,” “SDA2026,” and “SabbathPower.” The address, only released on November 7, 2025, lasts nearly 30 minutes.

Beloved!
A time is coming when the foundation of every denomination will be tested. Not by persecution alone but by revelation. Got is preparing to separate appearance from essence. Religion from relationship. Form from fire. The year 2026 will not be remembered for global chaos or political collapse but for a divine awakening that exposes which church truly carries the life of Christ. Many have claimed truth but few have lived it. The spirit of God is about to unveil. A generation within the Adventis movement who will walk in purity prophecy and power beyond anything seen since the early church.
Heaven is stirring, angels are moving. The line between true worship and performance is being drawn. What’s coming for Adventists in 2026 will shake every church. Not to destroy but to awaken the body of Christ to the reality that truth without spirit is lifeless. And spirit without obedience is dangerous. This is the hour when God will prove that His remnant is not defined by name but by surrender. 2026 is going to be a year unlike any other in the history of the church. It is a year where the hidden motives, the secret corners of the heart. The things people have tried to conceal, even from themselves, will brought into the light.
Those who have been serving God for convenience, for comfort, reputation or for applause will discover that their works are nothing more than shadows. In the eyes of Heaven there will be a stirring, a shaking, a refining fire that will test the great. Separation begins wheat and tears revealed. The intentions behind every act of worship and every word of ministry, God is not looking for crowd, He is looking for hearts.
That are willing to lay everything down. Hearts that are willing to be counted among the faithful even if the world forgets them. The wheat and the tears long sown side by side will finally be seen for what they are. The wheat those who have sought God sincerely, those who have sought holiness above popularity, those who have sacrificed comfort for conviction will begin to rise with an authority that is unmistakable.
It will not be the authority of titles, positions or programs but the authority of a life fully surrendered to the Spirit. Their faith tested and proven will shine like gold refined in fire. And they will become beacons of light to a world that has grown numb to empty religion. At the same time those whose service has been for self. Whose prayers are more about routine than relationship. Whose faith is more about show than surrender, will begin to drift away. They will find that the structures they relied upon cannot hold them.
The reputations they built cannot save them. And the comforts they clung to cannot sustain them in the presence of divine scrutiny. This is not a punishment but a revelation. A love exposing from God. A drawing back of the curtain so that every heart is revealed in its true form.
The church will experience a visible separation but it is not chaos, it is clarity. It is the sorting of the genuine from the counterfeit. The eternal from the temporary. Those who remain steadfast will find themselves strengthened. Their faith depend. Their voices given power beyond what they could imagine. They will see miracles, witness transformations and step into a destiny that has been prepared for them since the foundation of the world.
Their obedience will be their glory. Their perseverance will be their victory. And their hearts will beat in rhythm with the Spirit. Leading in ways that will astonish. Even the most faithful. God is calling his people into hidden hearts exposed who will stand firm. A deeper level of intimacy and commitment. Comforts will no longer be the measure of faith. Conviction will, routine will no longer define service. Surrender will.
The coming year will shake the surface of the church. But it will also illuminate the depths of those who are truly His. Every hidden intention will be revealed. Every false motivation exposed. And every genuine heart honored. Those who choose to live for conviction rather than comfort will step into an unshakable authority. Becoming pillars of strength and vessels of glory. Carrying the presence of God, wherever they go this year, the invisible becomes visible.
The eternal is unveiled. What has been hidden will be seen. And in this revelation God’s people will be refined, elevated and empowered to move with a divine boldness that will leave no doubt that he alone. Is the source of all truth, power and authority within His church.
In 2026 a mighty outpouring of the Spirit will sweep through the Adventist church. But it will not be led by those who are famous celebrated or well known. It will be led by ordinary men and women. Hearts ignited with divine passion. Lives fully surrendered to the will of God and Spirits hungry for truth above recognition.
The world has long associated greatness with titles, positions and accolade but heaven operates differently. God’s power does not flow where fame resides. It flows where humility dwells. This outpouring will remind the church the the Kingdom of God does not advance by human popularity but by obedience by surrender. By the courage to walk faithfully even when unseen and unappreciated
The ones who will carry this revival will not be those who have built reputations on eloquence or credentials but those who have cultivated inimacy with God. Who have faithfully done small things with a heart that desires only to please Him. God is raising a remnant a generation of believers who unterstand that the measure of their life is not what people see but waht Heaven observes. Obedience will outshine titles and integratiy will outshine influence. The humble will rise not by ambition but by the Spirit’s anointing.
Minute 7:13
Suspicious, at the very least!

It’s difficult to properly assess all of this. Furthermore, the channel operator isn’t alone. A whole host of new channels have popped up, all presenting Dr. David Yonggi Cho as the bearer of “good news,” and all featuring new publications.
The excerpt shown above, with the exception of a few minor details, does indeed represent the core tenet of the Gospel and thus also of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The observance of the Sabbath is, in any case, a strongly emphasized teaching of the Gospel by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. But to present this as a Sunday-based, “life-happiness-bringing” Pentecostal? Very strange!
How could this be? Could it be someone or an organization that has strayed from the gospel (e.g., Pentecostals) but is secretly and anonymously proclaiming the true message? Not really. That sounds very far-fetched and therefore highly unlikely.
Could it be an SDA member posing as Dr. Cho to remain anonymous for their own protection? Also unlikely, since this game of hide-and-seek is anything but representative of God’s character and methods. Keeping God’s commandments and having the faith of Jesus—that’s the motto!
The typical wine of Babylon?

What would be more logical, however—and this is by no means a novelty—is to gather a crowd of interested listeners around the beginning of the proclamation of the truth, to build a corresponding level of trust that could even extend to a certain degree of initial trust. After all, the bottle of Babylonian contents was opened to be mixed drop by drop with the wine. Babylon was, is, and always will be “confusion,” the toxic game of mixing truth and lies. If one considers the existing contributions of (allegedly) Cho, this would already be the case anyway. For what do SDA teachings have to do with the “Gospel of Financial Happiness”? Nothing!
There was, however, such an organization that specialized in the art of snake-like deception. Founded in 1534 and “activated” in 1540, its “experts” were skilled not only in deception but also in lying, inheritance fraud, false teachings, hypocrisy, and even serious criminal activities. One of their guiding principles was: “Perjury and murder are not only excusable but to be welcomed when they serve the purpose of the [Roman Catholic] Church!” But whether they were involved remains speculation to this day, even though the facts of the case quite clearly bear their mark.
Deception is one of the greatest dangers of the end times. And in this way, the Seventh-day Adventist Church, which is more than just disliked by the Church of Rome, could be easily and effectively discredited. After all, who today still checks what “so many” so frequently present?!
Stay critical and always check!
If you’re truly interested, you could occasionally glance at the other presentations to see what’s new and how things are developing. However, this is only an option, because the truth itself is found in the written Word of God. You should always keep your own nose in that, and relying on the statements of others should generally only be noted initially, so that you can then calmly examine them in light of the Word. As always, “better safe than sorry” applies here too, and.
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
