Charlie Kirk – Not just an evangelical influencer – also a self-professed Sabbath-keeper

Kreuzzug-Morde

The murder of Charlie Kirk has yet to be understood and put into context. A fatal attack on the evangelical influencer shocked the United States in particular. More questions than answers remain, but several aspects are nevertheless discernible when one considers that the activist, who was close to the US government, was a self-professed Sabbath-keeper.

Update 13.12.2025: New light on possible “super-deception” through Kirk’s published book – here

Acid test

News of the assassination of Charlie Kirk in the US state of Utah last Wednesday reverberated around the globe. Charlie Kirk was giving a speech on a university campus when he was shot at a distance by an apparent sniper. The scene is reminiscent of the assassination attempt on then-candidate Trump, when he escaped with a graze to the ear. (Info).

Charlie Kirk is considered a podcaster, influencer, and evangelical Christian. He was a confidant of US President Donald Trump and is referred to, as the media often calls him, as a “right-wing US activist.” Kirk was known and popular, especially among a young audience. The reactions in the US to the assassination attempt on the young activist were correspondingly divided.

It will be interesting to see whether the already divided society in the US will now face the ultimate test.

The young people in the center

Nepal
Nepal – Peaceful? Only partially

Woe betide anyone who shuts down social media in a country today. Nepal is leading the way. The local government decided to block internet connections for social interaction. What didn’t exist at all 20 years ago now seems essential for survival. The reaction of young people was fierce.

It is striking that the numerous reports on the massive unrest in the Asian country of Nepal emphasize that “Gen Z is rising up against an autocracy.” The young people are, it is suggested, resisting paternalism and injustice through “protests.” However, the images clearly reveal what this looks like, even without sound and voices. In the capital, Kathmandu, the streets are burning. Hotels have been reduced to rubble, government buildings have gone up in flames, and government officials and their families are being chased, beaten with sticks, and pelted with stones.

But “Gen Z” is distancing itself from the violence, as “tagesschau” presents it, as if “Gen Z” itself had spoken. That is, without any source information and as if the many young looters, vandals, and arsonists had nothing to do with any age group.

“Gen Z” demands

“Gen Z is fighting back,” is the message, and “the end justifies the means.” Today’s young people are the shapers of tomorrow. Those who educate and condition young people today will reap tomorrow’s seeds. While there is no set rule as to which birth year defines Gen Z, there is evident agreement on the period from 1995 to 2000. This is precisely the period when the UN World Core Curriculum was rolled out to all educational institutions worldwide (Info).

It is therefore natural that young people are the primary targets of those who would like to shape this world and society according to their own ideas. A society that doesn’t resist these newly established rules, but ideally even desires them. It even positions itself as a “defender” by any means necessary should anyone dare to step out of line within this order and stick their head out.

Charlie Kirk himself was just 31 years old. He was slightly older than Gen Z, but resonated with this age group of adolescents and young adults. On the social media platform “X,” for example, Kirk has around 5.3 million followers. He appeared in public and was not afraid to confront the arguments of young people, especially those with “woke” ideologies.

During 2021, Charlie Kirk, an evangelical with Presbyterian roots, announced that he and his family observe the Sabbath (on Saturday). He increasingly addressed this topic during his appearances and also focused on it a few months ago during a discussion with students at Oxford University, emphasizing the Sabbath not as exclusively Jewish, but as what it truly is: the biblical Fourth Commandment.

7th-day Sabbath and US politics?

How does this fit together? A Protestant who is widely heard and respected, especially among young people in the US, who not only publicly professes the biblical Sabbath but also bases it on Scripture, despite his contacts in the US administration, and who is personally close to the current “leader” Donald Trump, who not only carries the Roman Catholic perspective into state institutions (especially the Supreme Court), but also announces and, in part, already implements policies of “social justice and the common good” in accordance with Roman Catholic social teaching. This doesn’t fit together at all.

This applies especially to the political roadmap “Project 2025,” in which the “Sabbath” was explicitly set as Sunday, much to the delight of the Roman Catholic Church.

Politics
Das übliche Spiel gemäß Hegel

The media’s fuss about the two opposing fronts of the artificially created divide, “Woke Left” versus “Christian Right,” serves as a wonderful distraction from what’s actually going on behind the scenes. Carroll Quigley, a former professor at Georgetown University, run by the Jesuit order, described the real conditions in US politics in his book, “Tragedy and Hope: A History of the World in Our Time”:

The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can ‘throw the rascals out’ at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy.

Visible war against the Sabbath

The war against the biblical Sabbath is not just an insignificant incident that has been fought since the origins of the Church of Rome (Info), but the central issue facing humanity. As Paul already made clear:
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Corinthians 2:14)

If not a single person in humanity were to keep the 7th-day Sabbath established by God for the completion of His creation (Genesis 2:2-3), then the adversary would have achieved his (rhetorical) victory. For the Sabbath is the identifying mark of God and thus also the recognition of His authority. Keeping the “alternative day,” Sunday, on the other hand, is the recognition of the adversary. This is the real goal and, as it seems, the “last straw” to which the adversary, prowls like a roaring lion, is trying to cling. The prophecy in Revelation 20, however, clearly shows how things will actually turn out.

At least 144,000 (literally or symbolically, it doesn’t matter) will not bow to the adversary and will remain faithful to God, which is (also) reflected in the observance of the Sabbath (7th day) that He has blessed and sanctified.

A different picture when viewed spiritually

If one truly considers all of these connections spiritually, as the gospel is intended, one also understands that an extremely popular Charlie Kirk, who inspires young people in particular and explains the Sabbath, is anything but supportive of the plans and actions of the adversary. This, especially in the midst of the “Beast from the Earth” (Info).

Charlie Kirk leaves behind a wife, Erika Frantzve Kirk, and two children.

Charlie Kirk on the Sabbath

Jezebel and the dogs. The priestly daughter of a sun worshipper, who came among God’s people and brought only death and destruction, will be repeatedly devoured by the dogs. And the dogs, too, will be hopelessly lost.

And of Jezebel also spake the LORD, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel.
1 Kings 21:23

And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
Revelation 17:16

For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
Offenbarung 22,15
