However, a major problem arises at this point, one that has been exploited to the fullest for decades. Critical thinking only begins in the beta wave range. Even in the alpha state, the receptivity to external stimuli is quite high, and they are quickly internalized, precisely because they may trigger desired feelings, but all of this happens completely unfiltered.
The frontal lobe of the brain is essentially switched to full throttle in the alpha range. Whatever comes along is absorbed, but without critical consideration, by the use of the mind. This state is achieved in everyday life through the use of music with certain rhythms and also by staying in front of the television. A trance phenomenon known since ancient times involves certain asynchronous rhythms using drums. These elements are present throughout rock and pop music. The refresh rate of televisions produces a similar effect, occurring within less than a minute.
In simple terms, the rhythm of music unlocks the brain’s alpha state, allowing you to dump any kind of garbage into it. This garbage consists of the message conveyed by the lyrics. The same applies to the TV.
