The 10 plagues that struck Egypt due to the Pharaoh’s “stubbornness” are well known. These plagues ultimately resulted in Israel’s exodus from slavery in Egypt. Less widespread, however, are the plagues or events announced in the Book of Revelation that will ultimately befall humanity. The “7 last plagues” or “7 bowls of wrath” will be the final events before the Lord Jesus Christ returns. Revelation also describes “7 trumpets” that initiate the series of catastrophes that will befall humanity after the opening of the “6th Seal.”/p>

The people of God will experience plagues
Contrary to the teachings of a pre-rapture and an earthly kingdom of peace, which originate from the pens of the Jesuits, the people of God will also have to endure the plagues (Info). However, they will be protected because they were endowed with God’s seal before the first plague (Revelation 7).
However, the events described in connection with the 7 trumpets are not to be viewed as plagues or literal catastrophes. They represent a historical and spiritual aspect that, among other things, describes people and their paths of faith, as well as their apostasy. At this point, it is very important to note that the 6th trumpet can already be heard in our present time (Info).
The 7 last plagues are particularly relevant
The 10 plagues of Egypt are history. This event is nevertheless quite interesting because parallels and connections can be recognized. Some plagues (e.g., frogs, beetles, locusts, etc.) are God’s direct responses to some Egyptian pagan gods, all of which are merely fictions. This is proof that the Egyptian gods are therefore completely powerless.
The coming final 7 plagues, described in Revelation 16 as a sequence of 7 bowls of wrath, are therefore in particular focus. These are still pending and will occur as surely as the sun will rise the next morning. Before this happens, the absolute final test for those faithful to God will be completed. They will be the ones sealed by God (Revelation 7), who will experience the plagues but will not suffer any harm from these falling disasters.
One after another, seven angels will pour out their bowl of wrath, which God has given them.
The first plague

Revelation 16:2:
“And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.“
The mark of the beast. This is the all-decisive, final test for humanity. Those who stand firm in their faith will not accept the mark of the beast, no matter how serious the consequences. The seal of God is given to those who clung to the mark of God and rigorously refused the mark of the beast (Info).
The second plague

Revelation 16:3:
“And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.“
There’s nothing living left in the sea. The blood “like that of a dead person” is extremely toxic. As far as the food chain is concerned, this aspect alone is a total catastrophe. The world’s oceans will turn into a red, dead mess.
The third plague

Revelation 16:4:
“And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.“
The seawater was undrinkable, but the freshwater was. That’s now over. The once drinkable and vital water has turned blood red. This also means that the only water that will come out of everyday household taps, if anything, will be blood red. This will certainly cause fierce struggles for survival, especially in urban areas. The once friendly neighborhood will quickly come to an end. A catastrophe of sorts.
The fourth plague

Revelation 16:8:
“And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.“
After usable water becomes very, very scarce, a (real) heat wave follows. The sun blazes down on the earth with all its unbridled power. People seek shade and cooling wherever possible. A dip in cool water is out of the question. Thirst cannot be quenched. And what do people do? They curse God (Revelation 16:9).
The fifth plague

Revelation 16:10:
“And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,“
The kingdom of end-time Babylon will fall into pitch darkness. One could limit this to the region of Rome, i.e., Vatican City, but also, and this is more likely, extend it to the entire earth. For Babylon has brought all the “kings of the earth” under its control, as well as the merchants. Babylon’s influence is worldwide, so it stands to reason that darkness will fall everywhere.
The statement about the fifth plague also makes it clear that the plagues do not follow one another, but rather add to each other, for the pain of the bubonic plague already stems from the first plague. It is also the fifth plague that will suddenly stop the mob that is now persecuting God’s people with all its might. The sudden darkness prevents persecution, and the now visible coming of Jesus Christ allows the angry people to realize what a mistake they have made.
The sixth plague

Revelation 16:12:
“And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.“
The sixth plague is a metaphor. It’s the antitype of the actual drying up of the Euphrates, where the Medo-Persians conquered the city of Babylon within a single night, thereby wiping out the Babylonian Empire (Daniel 5). They achieved this by inducing the drying up of the Euphrates River. They simply diverted the river using ditches and dams. The riverbed was dry, and so the conquerors simply marched under the barrier through the city wall.

With the darkness of the fifth plague and the visible coming of Jesus Christ, people realize they have been deceived. By whom? The very kings and merchants of the earth who drank Babylon’s poisoned wine and, in their intoxication, misled the people into drinking that same wine. People withdraw all support from the Babylonian system; “the river Euphrates dries up,” for water symbolizes peoples, multitudes, nations, and languages (Revelation 17:15).
There will be a final deception of the rulers of this earth (Revelation 16:13-14). The “famous” battle at Armageddon. But this turns out to be what it is: a hopeless battle against the people of God. For the assault on the people is tantamount to an attempt to attack Jesus Christ personally. This is bound to go wrong. The “spiritual mastermind” of Babylon, on the other hand, is known: the one who already claims the “presidency of honor” over all churches. In their anger, the kings of the earth will attack the “Harlot of Babylon” and “tear her to pieces in the air” (Revelation 17:16-17).
The seventh plague

Revelation 16:17-21:
“And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.“
This is the last and final plague. The extinction of all life on Earth. In all likelihood, the saved people will no longer witness this plague, for they have since been transported to Jesus in the clouds and are on their way to heaven.
The Millennium

The Bible contradicts the popular theory of an earthly kingdom lasting 1,000 years in harmony and peace. This is a fairy tale, a massive deception (Info).
At the end of the last plague, the earth will be freed from all earthly life. Only Satan and his fallen angels will be bound and can contemplate their work for 1,000 years of inactivity (Revelation 20). The “bottomless pit” in this case is not a depth somewhere beneath the earth’s surface, but the desolate, dark earth itself. Just as it was at the beginning of creation and was named as such, Genesis 1:2:
“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.“
Comparison
For an overview, the 10 plagues, the 7 trumpets, and the 7 bowls of wrath (the 7 final plagues) are listed side by side. Even though the descriptions of the 7 trumpets in particular do not represent literal events, the parallels are still clearly visible. For nothing is decided by God purely by chance.
