Rejecting the Pope is not possible. Due to his “crime” of schism, US Archbishop Viganò has now been summoned by the Dicastery for Doctrine of the Faith to receive his presumably already prepared verdict.

Inconvenient characters targeted
The “sorting work” within the Church Department of the “Holy See” continues. The former nuncio to the USA, Carlo Maria Viganò, has been summoned to the Vatican’s Dicastery for Doctrine of the Faith on Thursday. The charge leveled against the archbishop is “schism”, i.e. division of the church. According to the canon law of the Roman Catholic Church, it is a crime.
According to an often-used old “Catholic tradition”, there will not be a regular court hearing, but an “extrajudicial criminal trial”. The procedure takes on its special character when one considers that this dicastery is merely the current name for the “good old inquisition” of this church.
Catholic media mouthpieces speak of an impending payoff for the “polemist” for spreading “conspiracy myths.” (Source). In other words, the use of already known tools of “post-modern” journalism to defame views that deviate from the norm and are therefore undesirable.
Inquisition ad hoc
Of course, there was no official announcement of this criminal trial by the Inquisition. Viganò himself published his summons on the news platform “X”. The former nuncio is summoned to appear before the Dicastery to hear “the accusations and evidence regarding the crime of schism.” (Source). Accordingly, Viganò denied the legitimacy of Pope Francis. The accused archbishop also rejects the Second Vatican Council. If the defendant does not appear by the set deadline, no later than June 28th, he will be sentenced in his absence.
Accused archbishop “a bit conspicuous”
The accused US archbishop recently fell out of his (official) role after he described the Pope as a “servant of the elites” and the “coming Antichrist”. (Info).
These statements alone suggest that the archbishop either does not recognize the position of the papacy as a whole or is working as a team to present to the public a performance of a well-thought-out play. Because the Roman Catholic Church, or the papacy itself, the work and also the “grand finale” are described in detail in the Gospel (Info).
Someone else has the last word
One can look forward to the “extrajudicial verdict” of the Inquisition, known as the Dicastery. Such a “crime” can actually only result in excommunication. Actually, it is already extraordinary that the “court reporters” speak of an expected verdict, because according to canon law, the rejection of the Pope as head of the church results in (fully) automatic excommunication. This does not even require instructions from a higher authority. The summons should therefore actually only concern the official notification. So, as usual, a “judgment” that has long been established in the course of an inquisition.
The last word on this church institution has not yet been said anyway, because:
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
