Science focused on astrophysics will meet in the next few days at the Pontifical Academy of Sciences in the Vatican for intellectual efforts on the “true nature of space and time.” The latest findings about “current knowledge” obviously require revision. Time for new fictions, narratives and faith-based knowledge.

Dynamic knowledge always static narrative
Science only “knows” until new insights are gained and a new “knowledge” is defined. The “knowledge is created”, therefore in the German language “Wissenschaft” (literally “knowledge creation”) describes the actual development of the always “temporary knowledge” quite well.
Science is subject to certain criteria in order to be called science at all. The most important requirements include honesty, objectivity, reliability, validity, comprehensibility and comprehensibility. If these criteria are not met in detail, one can no longer speak of science, but in the best case only of a so-called spiritual science.
Hypotheses and perhaps even theories are put forward. These simply consist of considerations and explanations of how it could be. With such an approach, it is only a matter of time before a thought construct that is “recognized in science” collapses like a house of cards due to “completely surprising” new discoveries.
Nevertheless, the representatives of this guild today like to throw everything into the common pot labeled “science”. What was declared as “generally accepted” is considered established knowledge. But it is only what it actually is, a pure question of faith. If this contemporary knowledge from the humanities also fits into a current narrative defined for society, then the doubter runs the direct risk of being branded as a “heretic of science”, i.e. “science denier” and even declared to be dangerous to the common good. The naturally non-objective spiritual science even goes so far as to declare new discoveries that completely refute the previous “knowledge narrative” as “out-of-place artifact (OOPA)” and allow them to disappear into the archives, never to be seen again.
Scientific appearance
“Science” also does not shy away from quickly creating convincing terms for physically impossible conditions. This is intended to maintain the appearance of comprehensible objectivity. After all, an ever-expanding universe must have been smaller yesterday than it is today. If traced back mentally (spiritual science), the universe must have been, at a very early point in time, just a tiny point without any expansion. So “infinitely small”. Quite usable for the mathematician, but an impossibility for the physicist.
However, if you simply call this impossible state a “singularity,” then it sounds very scientific. Since empirically verifiable thermodynamics (real science), specifically entropy, also draws a huge red line through the Big Bang theory established by humanities, the “scientists” saved themselves by postulating that the universe came into being from nothing. In the case of a Big Bang, entropy forces a perfect order to the initial state, whatever that beginning may look like (more info).
However, such a perfect order presupposes an author, and this author must necessarily be intelligent. How embarrassing. That must not be. If, on the other hand, there was “nothing” before, then “everything” is possible afterwards. Here, the “primordial atom,” which was also defined for the Big Bang, appears to be already outdated. Because a “primordial atom”, whatever this mental construct is supposed to represent, is “something” and not “nothing”. “Nothing,” on the other hand, is very practical and, above all, universal. Honesty, a criterion for real science? Swam over it.
Spiritual, Jesuit science
With such a concentration of intellectual imagination, it is not surprising that the inventor of the Big Bang theory was a Catholic priest. The Belgian Georges Edouard Lemaître (1894 to 1966), a docile student of the Jesuits, ordained a priest in 1923, postulated his ideas about an expanding universe for the first time in 1927 in the specialist journal “Annales de la Société scientifique de Bruxelles”.
A description that is often erroneously attributed to the astrophysicist Edwin Hubble (USA). However, Hubble “only” discovered that galaxies are moving away from us and that the escape velocity continues to increase with the distance between the galaxy and Earth. Hubble calculated a constant from this. The theories of the Belgian with a Jesuit education fit so well into the worldview of the Roman Church that Lemaître was ultimately appointed by the Pope to head the Pontifical Academy of Sciences.
Current “state of knowledge” about the Big Bang
The Big Bang theory currently in use describes a “big bang” in which “everything” emerged from “nothing” in a very short space of time. There was an explosive expansion of the universe (cosmic inflation). After around 300,000 years, the “primordial soup” had already cooled down enough for the first atoms to form, specifically hydrogen and, in smaller proportions, helium. The universe became “transparent” for the first time.
Due to the gravitational forces, the individual atoms began to form clumps. The dynamics of gravitational unification increased and the first stars were formed, and from them the first galaxies. However, despite all the “knowledge,” it is still unknown how galaxies were able to form in the first place. Nevertheless, it was “known” that the first galaxies were formed about 1 billion years after the Big Bang. According to current “knowledge” the Big Bang took place around 13.6 billion years ago.
Ongoing revisions necessary
With the use of improved observation technology, galaxies with an escape movement (redshift of light) were surprisingly discovered, which describe their formation around 800 million years after the Big Bang. The first galaxies were therefore formed earlier “than expected”, according to one theory after another. The universe could be older “than thought,” according to another theory about the theory. With the James Webb Telescope, “science” has a new dimension of resolution at its disposal and the “oldest galaxies to date” with a previously “unknown” age were promptly discovered. Only 500 million years after the Big Bang. Earlier “than expected”, or the universe even older “than expected”, according to the surprised researchers.
Not to forget that visible or observable matter only accounts for a good 20 percent of the total mass in the universe. At least that is the current “state of knowledge about the theory”. Since the galaxies could never exist in their observable state according to empirically proven physical laws, “science” added a “necessarily dark matter”.
Since the universe is expanding faster and faster according to current “knowledge of theory”, although this could never be possible according to empirically proven physical laws, “science” added a “necessarily dark energy”. In order for the model to work again, both “dark quantities” take up almost 80 percent of the material (energy is equivalent to matter, E=mc2) in the entire universe. One could also say that as research progressed, the proportion of unknown variables increased disproportionately.
Motivated modeling
The researchers are standing in front of an ordinary dessert alarm clock. You can watch the movement of the hour, minute and second hands, recognize the numbers and hear it ring every day at 8:05 in the morning. But you have no idea how this could all work. A view of the inside of the watch is prohibited. Now the intellectual giants sit down and create models with the aim of somehow explaining the regular movements of the hands and the complex processes. This is called science.
The priestly science
The framework conditions alone make it clear to a “normal” person, without academic conditioning, that the research results are less about science in the true sense and more about serving predefined ideologies. And you have to believe this. The priest’s cassock, surplice and stole is the scientist’s white coat. Unassailable and infallible proclaimer of the dogmatic faith. Just as faith-based as the official designation of “climate matter” as a religion (Info).
You just have to imagine that just 10 years ago an astrophysics student would have been stumped with the answer of galaxy formation around 500 million years after the Big Bang. The student would have failed the exam 10 years ago. Today, however, he would be “spot on”. With this “knowledge” I wrote a doctoral thesis a decade ago and subsequently received a professorship. “Science” built on sand.
Papal recognition
On November 23, 1951, Pope Pius XII officially declared that the Big Bang theory was compatible with the Bible’s creation account. The Big Bang is creation itself. Of course, the similarly designed “science” of evolution postulated by Charles Darwin also depends on this. Pope Francis, a Jesuit, also adhered to the theses of science. At the end of October 2014, Francis told the in-house Academy of Sciences that it was entirely acceptable to view the Big Bang and evolution as facts.
The Big Bang is proof of the existence of a creator. “When we read about creation in Genesis, we may imagine God as a magician with a magic wand and no limits,” Francis said. However, this is not the case, because “he created people who then developed according to the God-given, internal guidelines in order to achieve fulfillment.”
The main thing is against the gospel
“Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:” says Genesis 1:26. It is not surprising that the Pope also declares God to be a common ancestor of humans and apes, whatever this creature in the evolutionary hypothesis may look like. For elsewhere in the Bible it is written about the papacy: “And he shall speak great words against the most High” (Daniel 7:25), and “And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies;” (Revelation 13:5). It is therefore in the nature of the Pontifex Maximus to scorn and mock God, albeit well hidden (Info).
One can directly speculate that the scientific hypothesis about the origin of the universe could have looked completely different, provided such a model appeared somewhat logical in itself. The main thing is that it goes against the creation account of the gospel. And if mockery and ridicule towards the Creator can also be incorporated, “all the better”.
Vatikan hält eine Konferenz ab
Apparently, after the latest discoveries and the subsequent necessary revisions of the current “state of knowledge” it is necessary to talk about this matter again. A scientific conference is taking place in the Vatican. The big bang and “black holes” are at the center of the discussions. (Source). After all, it is more than just a question of philosophy. They want to find out what the true nature of space and time is. Well then, good luck and, above all, lots of creative ideas.
The title of the conference taking place from June 16 to 21, 2024 is fitting: “Black holes, gravitational waves and space-time singularities”. There it is again, the “singularity”. The scientific-sounding name for the physically impossible, i.e. not only the Big Bang but also the innermost part of a black hole. (Papal) science is once again dealing with something that cannot exist, instead of recognizing this fact, this reality and shelving the previous theory.
New fictions necessary
Francis actually got to the point when he announced that it was okay to believe in the Big Bang and evolution and treat them as facts. It is precisely this formulation that defines fiction. A fiction is actually something that does not exist and is treated as existing. An apparent reality that not only appears occasionally in everyday life within society, but is omnipresent.
It will be interesting to see how the participating researchers will remodel “reality” based on their intellectual efforts in the cozy premises of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences.
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
