Some heresies of churches – well-known long-running favorites

Some heresies are very well known and seem to be unable to be exposed by anything other than such errors. Some errors are long-running in both the Catholic and Protestant churches.

The most famous errors

The most common errors mentioned or taught in Catholic and Protestant circles. Due to the increased ecumenism, particularly since the Second Vatican Council, some dogmas of Catholicism are already (re)emerging in evangelical churches.

  • The 10 Commandments can be changed or repealed
  • The soul is by nature immortal
  • The “Lord’s Day” is Holy Sunday
  • The lost will burn in hell forever
  • Some people go to purgatory after their death
  • Speaking in tongues is evidence of being filled with the Holy Spirit
  • People are not baptized by immersion.
    Instead, infants are baptized
  • A priest can forgive sins
  • Worship and worship of images and statues is permitted
  • In addition to Jesus Christ, Mary also had no sins

Falsified Commandments

Commandments of God

The Roman Catholic Church, a superficially Christian religious institution, teaches the 10 Commandments according to Exodus 20 in a modified form. To do this, the Church of Rome removed the Second Commandment from the list and added it to the First Commandment. Mentioned only in the catechism, but not existing on the teaching boards for their sheep. It concerns the prohibition of the veneration or worship of images and figures.

Furthermore, the Roman Church changed the original Fourth Commandment, the sanctification of the seventh day (Sabbath) to the first day of the week (Sunday – Info). In addition, the Catholic Church divided the Tenth Commandment into two commandments to return to the number ten (Info).

The (formerly) Protestant churches adopted this list of commandments that had been falsified by the Church of Rome, with the only difference being that commandments nine and ten were swapped with each other.

Naturally immortal soul

A fatally erroneous doctrine, because the belief in an immortal soul separated from the dead body is already spiritualism. The Bible does not provide any information about an immortal soul. On the contrary. Man made of dust, endowed with the breath of God’s life, IS the soul. This is clear from the Gospel (Info).

The Roman Catholic Church knows exactly what the Bible says (“New Catholic Encyclopedia”, Vol. 13, page 335), but has refrained from teaching according to the gospel. Instead, according to the Catechism (366), the Church of Rome teaches the philosophy of Aristotle. The great role model of Thomas Aquinas. The church claims that the soul separates from the body and is immortal.

This disastrous heresy is also the basis for other false teachings such as an eternally burning hell, purgatory and, alternatively, ascension into heaven immediately after death. Only the belief in such a spirit of a deceased person justifies the claim of being able to communicate with the dead in some way. In fact, the “interlocutors” are demons, fallen angels who can deceptively imitate the characteristics of the deceased.

The Lord’s Day – Sunday

The term “Day of the Lord” appears very often in the Bible. But in no case does this day refer to the first day of the week, i.e. Sunday. Only in one case is the “Lord’s Day” applied to the seventh day, i.e. the Sabbath. Otherwise, this special day describes the “Day of Reckoning.” That day when Jesus Christ returns (Info).

Eternally burning hell

Welcome to Hell
Church would like to have an eternally burning hell

A horror fairy tale from the authors of the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead (Tutmosis III), adopted by the Hellenists, further maintained by Rome and also passed on by the papacy. The ever-burning hell does not exist. The word “hell” appears several times in the Bible, but it does not describe the eternal torment of lost souls. Such a God, who torments the “rebellious” for all time, is not the God of the Bible.

The words translated into “hell” in the basic text of the Bible (Hebrew, Greek) show that it is actually a grave, or a symbolic representation of a valley in the south of Jerusalem that was used as a waste incineration plant (Info). The “hell stories” are wonderful for scaring people so that they become well-behaved and compliant.

Anyone who wants to become like Jesus Christ must fix their eyes on Him. A completely understandable point. But what about those believers who fix their eyes on a (fictitious) God who torments lost souls for all time? What is striking is that especially those “Christians” who imagine a constantly punishing, even tormenting God, see themselves as “soldiers” and “defenders” of the faith and want to bring the Gospel to men and women with a sword and a glowing cross.< /p>

The fantastic purgatory

A purely Catholic invention and fictitious institution. The purgatory principle cannot be found in the Bible and only proves the erroneous doctrine of an immortal soul and the false righteousness of works. The Church of Rome claims that the sinner whose sin has been forgiven (by the priest) still has to pay the penalty or reparation.

Either through “good works” during his lifetime or as compensation in purgatory. As a power- and money-hungry institution, it is only a small step to turn this principle into cash. The indulgence trade. You can also pay off your debt with money, using letters of indulgence, fed with the “good works” of the saints, Mary and the (dead) Jesus Christ. This nonsense earned this church a huge fortune, especially the foundation for the construction of St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican.

Speaking in tongues – pointless chatter

< Blahblah Pure blah blah sold as the Holy Spirit[/caption]p>
The apostles received a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Pentecost). This made it possible for them to preach with full authority, to heal and to speak in foreign languages without having previously learned them. Speaking in foreign languages is also known as “speaking in tongues.”

Pentecostals and other charismatic circles see this differently. For them, speaking in tongues is mystical speaking in the language of the Holy Spirit. According to the theory, anyone who can speak in a tongue is filled with the Holy Spirit. However, if you look at the basic text of the Bible, you will quickly find out that speaking in tongues is nothing other than speaking in another (normal) language.

Charismatic speaking in tongues is a completely meaningless, incomprehensible babble (Info). It may be that the babbling Heine is filled with a spirit, but this is certainly not the Holy Spirit.

Barely born, already baptized

The early Christian communities carried out baptism by immersing an adult or person of age. Little by little, the congregation moved on to simply sprinkling the head with a bowl of water. This also happens when the person being baptized is an infant.

The Protestant churches also continued this practice of the Church of Rome. This was done with extreme severity, because the so-called Anabaptists who emerged shortly after the start of the Reformation were persecuted and even killed by the Reformation churches. This is usually done in a cynical way by drowning.

The Bible, however, describes true baptism as the immersion in water of an adult who consciously and independently testified publicly to his faith. This is impossible for an infant. In addition, the immersion and subsequent emergence symbolizes death and rebirth through Jesus Christ. This, too, cannot be achieved with church sprinkling of water (Info).

Forgiveness of sins by priests

There are two definitions of blasphemy found in the Bible. Once to claim that you are God, and another time to claim that you can forgive sins. This is a sin against God, i.e. the violation of one of the 10 commandments. If a person has sinned against his neighbor, insulted him, hurt him, or something similar, he can certainly forgive his fellow human being’s transgressions, and he should. But only God himself can forgive a sin against God.

But the priesthood of the Roman Catholic Church presumes to be able to forgive sins and to do so with the exclusion of the debt that has to be repaid (preferably). This will be treated separately. The priesthood of the Church of Rome also presupposed the death of Jesus Christ, but not His resurrection. The self-claimed “Body of Christ” is based on the dead Jesus Christ (Info).

Learned Idolatry

The Second Commandment of God is crystal clear. Do not copy anything that is in heaven, on earth, under the earth, or in the sea. Do not serve or worship these images. It is the very commandment that removed the Roman Catholic Church from its official teaching. This is not without reason, because the Catholic institutions are littered with pictures, statues and figures, especially of Mary, before which people fall down and worship.

The return of Catholic immorality in the once Reformation church could be observed very well in England, in the Anglican Church. John Henry Newmann, once an Anglican, gradually brought back Catholic rituals and liturgies. Until he “suddenly” decided to convert to Roman Catholicism. It didn’t take very long for Newman to suddenly become a cardinal. Today it is even “holy”.

Mary, the Immaculate

The Roman Catholic Church’s most extensive fairy tale concerns the endless embellishments surrounding the mother of Jesus Christ, Mary. She was immaculate, i.e. without sin, remained a virgin forever and also ascended to heaven body and soul. The latter dogma was only cemented in 1950 (Assumption of Mary).

Mary Jesus Grotto
Mary – Mother in Little Mithras’ Grotto

Mary was chosen by God to give birth to the incarnate Jesus Christ. This happened through the Holy Spirit, announced in advance by the angel Gabriel. That’s about it. The Church of Rome stylizes Mary as “Mother of God and Queen of Heaven.” To justify these stories, this church claims to be in the natural succession of Peter. Its apostolicity gives it the authority to place its own traditions established by divine infallibility above the Gospel.

Therefore it is only “logical” that the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church must be correct, speaking in its inability to make errors. There are actually more than 1.3 billion people worldwide who still believe this.

Looking behind the scenes, the Roman Catholic Mary appears to be another representation of the ancient Egyptian pagan goddess Isis. The attributes are amazingly identical (Info).

To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
