The apostolicity of the Roman Church is simply asserted. To support its claim to be the successor to the apostles, the institution that emerged from paganism merely sought out unprovable privileges.

Presumptuous claims
The Roman Catholic Church system claims that the in-house priesthood can forgive sins against God. Not only that. God had to adhere to the priest’s decision. If the priest forgives a devout Catholic’s sin (absolution) after confession, then God must follow this decision. What sounds incredible is official teaching of this church and is sometimes not only confirmed by the church doctor and “saint” Alphonsus Liguori, but also described in more detail (Info).

The Bible provides information about what blasphemy means in two places. One time it is the claim to be able to forgive sins against God (Mark 2:7), and the other time it is the claim to be God oneself (John 10:33). The Church of Rome meets both criteria. The priesthood could forgive sins and some of the heads of this church in their succession claimed in their “modesty” to be God on earth (Info).
This broad arrogance of the Church of Rome is based on the suggested statement that it is the successor to Peter. The “first pope,” according to the unsubstantiated claim. As a result, the Roman Catholic Church is the de facto successor to the apostles. The “mystical body of Christ” with all privileges and abilities. After all, the apostles were given the powers after the outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Pentecost). This also applies to the church.
The abilities of the apostles
Acts chapter 2 describes the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the apostles. The faithful followers of Jesus Christ received a whole range of (supernatural) abilities (including Mark, Chapter 16):
- Speaking in foreign languages (speaking in tongues – Info)
- Healing of the sick
- Power to forgive sins
- Raising the dead
- Power to cast out demons
- Immunity to poison
Church of Rome is selective

The Church of Rome appears to have been selective in supporting its claimed apostolicity. Because their dogmatically defined abilities only apply to a selection of these privileges. Forgiveness of sins only needs to be claimed; proof cannot be provided. In view of the power received from the dragon (Satan) (Revelation 13:4), the expulsion of demons can be seen as a show performance by the well-rehearsed team.
Many Catholic clerics also “got it” that they suddenly “spoke in tongues”. This was particularly the case after the Second Vatican Council. There the so-called charismatic renewal was brought to life. But this “speaking in tongues”, the incomprehensible gibberish, has nothing at all to do with the “speaking in tongues” of the Bible. Charismatic tongues is simply nonsense chatter.
Simply imposture
Despite the huge number of Catholic priests worldwide, the “successor organization” of the apostles is unable to raise the dead, heal the sick and also lacks immunity to toxic substances. These things cannot simply be claimed, but have visible results as proof. The church calls on people to appear in the confessional at least once a year and to attend every compulsory mass, but refrains from swarming into hospitals to heal the sick.
It is what it is. A pure imposture by the church to deceive people and to support its self-appropriated but insubstantial authority.
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
