The head of the Roman Catholic Church has just arrived in Islamic Indonesia and a joint statement has already been made. Pope and Grand Imam appeal for the “preservation of creation,” the “protection of the climate” and the focus on “common values” so that “our God” can be served. The “Climate-Religion”.

The largest country of Islam
Pope Francis has traveled to Indonesia and is clearly eager to reach agreements “for the benefit” of humanity. His appearance in Indonesia has a special quality because the country is the largest Islamic country in the world in terms of inhabitants.
Just one day after his arrival, the first joint declaration was signed. Signed by the Pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church and the Grand Imam of the Istiqlal Mosque Nasaruddin Umar. As was to be expected, the “Joint Declaration of Istiqlal 2024” signed in the capital Jakarta on September 5, 2024 has little to nothing Christian about it (Source).
Harmony of religions
It’s about the “well-being of humanity”. “Of course” religions can only play a subordinate role. So it is understandable that the head of the Roman Catholic Church consistently maintains the traditional way and does not take the Gospel into account at all.
Francis himself set the agenda for his visit to Indonesia a few days ago. “The earth is screaming,” is his appeal to humanity to open their hearts to the whimpering of Mother Earth (Info). The signed document fundamentally assumes that “our world” is facing serious crises of dehumanization and climate change. The agreements are designed accordingly.
Joint Declaration of Intent
The letter certainly treats religions, but in the light of them as a source of violence against people, especially against “women, children and the elderly.” Instead of instrumentalizing religions, they should promote and protect human life, according to the agreement.
“Environmental crisis – abuse of creation”
Humans have contributed to climate change, triggered by the “misuse of creation”, the common home of humanity. The consequences are destructive and lead to “natural disasters, global warming and unpredictable weather conditions”. The “environmental crisis” prevents people from living together in harmony.
Joint call
In a joint letter, Pope Francis and Grand Imam Umar call for addressing the current crises by promoting the “common values of our religious traditions.” The plague in our world, violence and indifference, must be defeated. Religious values should lead to a “culture of respect, dignity, compassion, reconciliation and fraternal solidarity.” Environmental destruction and dehumanization must be overcome.
Aligning religions for human dignity
Interreligious dialogue must become an effective instrument for resolving international conflicts. This applies in particular to the consequences of the abuse of religions. The religious beliefs (of the Pope and the Imam) and the rituals contain the ability to address the human heart. A “deeper respect for human dignity” must be achieved.
A “common God”
The head of the Roman Catholic Church and the Grand Imam of Islam in Indonesia jointly declare that the “vital necessities of a healthy, peaceful and harmonious atmosphere” must be recognized in order to “serve God authentically” and “preserve creation.” All people of “good will” are called upon to act decisively now. The ecosystem must remain intact and the resources preserved. These were inherited from previous generations and want to be passed on to the following generations.
No trace of the gospel whatsoever
Given that Jesus Christ is the only way for people’s salvation (John 14:6), the living Word of God appears “suspiciously little” in this explanation.
You can twist and turn this appeal, shake it and tear it apart as you like, but it contains absolutely nothing about Christianity according to the gospel. Only individual keywords, such as “creation and God,” could be used to create something “Christian.” But not in this context.
In principle, Pope Francis would only have to copy a few paragraphs from his encyclical “Laudato Si'” (2015) and from “Fratelli Tutti” (2020) and put them together again. Environmental crisis, natural disasters, “Mother Earth”, preservation of creation, brotherhood, justice, “good will” and the well-being of the single and common human family. The theological part describes the usual Roman Catholic pantheism and the interpersonal part describes the religion of humanism. Gospel? “Yesterday’s snow”.
Revelation 11 to watch
Bible prophecy describes the fall of the “two witnesses” in the book of Revelation, chapter 11. Both are overcome by the “beast from the bottomless pit” (more info). Whether the “two witnesses” are (symbolically) Elijah (“Prophecy”) and Moses (“Law”), or the Old and New Testaments is (almost) irrelevant. Because both variants lead to the complete Word of God, i.e. the Gospel. It is clear that the beast from the abyss is a political power with direct satanic leadership.
Humanity has already experienced the spectacle in Chapter 11 in the local area through the French Revolution. The event that was once again so impressively remembered at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics in Paris. As part of the revolution, the Bible, as well as religion itself, was banned. This situation lasted for 3.5 years and was followed by the Declaration of Human Rights (Info). Religious freedom was formulated in it and in 1801 the Church of Rome returned to France.
Such a scenario will repeat itself, but on a global scale. The gospel is sawed vigorously and the saw is led by the head of the Roman institution. Accordingly, the word of God, the true gospel, will again experience a (temporary) defeat. Presumably again based on a ban due to the understanding in “harmony” with other religions. Ultimately, the earth must be saved for the human family. God’s “restrictive commandments” are ultimately counterproductive, even harmful and dangerous.
Final Pursuit
Anyone who holds on to the true gospel when the gospel is banned and the world is unified into a climate protection religion will suffer persecution. Here it also becomes clear who will actually be those affected by the end-time persecution described in the Bible (Info).
Revelation 12:17 describes the reason:
“And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.“
