Anyone who decides to (finally) observe the Sabbath could experience their “blue miracle”. The constant rejection of the day sanctified by God is nothing more than a chronic disregard for the law. The Holy Spirit works on a “low flame” and will one day withdraw completely. Fulfilling God’s will concerns the entire scope and not just according to whim and pleasure.

The Rejected Sabbath
The 7th day of the week, Saturday according to our calendar, is the day blessed and sanctified by God (Genesis 2:2-3). At Mount Sinai, God reminded His chosen people Israel of this special day using the Fourth Commandment (Info). The Sabbath.
Even in the early stages of the formation of the Roman Catholic Church, this separate day was referred to as a “Jewish Sabbath” and instead was honored as the first day of the week (“Sunday”) (Info).
The clear majority of Christian-oriented communities still refer to the Sabbath as a purely Jewish matter. “We Christians celebrate the day of Jesus’ resurrection, i.e. on Sunday,” goes one argument. There is nothing to be said against it, the first Christian communities also did that. But they still observed the Sabbath at that time (except in Alexandria and Rome), because the Sabbath applies to all people (Info). The reason for this is easy to understand.
Clearly one of the 10 Commandments
The Sabbath is one of God’s 10 commandments. The dilemma is that many of these communities claim that all laws were nailed to the cross with Jesus Christ. There is no distinction at all between God’s commandments (moral laws) and the commandments of Moses (ceremonial laws). (Info).
However, God’s moral laws have never been abolished, because they serve to be able to recognize what exactly sin is. Romans 7:7:
“What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.“
On your own initiative
No person can become righteous by keeping the 10 Commandments, but everyone who has truly known God or Jesus Christ will want to keep the laws of their own accord, because of true faith and love for God, John 14:15:
“If ye love me, keep my commandments.“
True faith and keeping the 10 Commandments are not contradictions. The opposite is the case, Romans 3:31:
“Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.“
Actually it should be clear at this point. All 10(!) commandments are fully valid. True faith and love for God lead to a desire to keep these commandments. Thanks to God’s power, through His Holy Spirit.
Transgressing the law IS sin
If someone breaks any of these commandments, they have committed a sin. Anyone who commits adultery has sinned. Anyone who steals has sinned. Anyone who tells untruths about their neighbor has committed a sin. Likewise, anyone who violates the Sabbath commits a sin. Actually easy to understand. The Sabbath is one of the 10 commandments, found in Exodus 20 and Deuteronomy 5.
A big problem
Constantly violating the Sabbath, against one’s better judgment, whether intentionally or through error, is a continually practiced sin. The alternative observance of the pagan “sun day” has not yet been taken into account. In this case, all the other 9 commandments may be adhered to, but the individual fourth commandment may not. James 2:10:
“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.“
“Keeping the Sabbath? Oh no, stop this nonsense!“. Such a man turns away from the law, Proverbs 28:9:
“He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.“
Isn’t that clear enough? Will God listen to prayer if His law is continually broken? It is even an abomination. The prospects of God answering prayers are extremely slim. The prospects for an effective work of the Holy Spirit are correspondingly good (Info). At a certain point, if the law is constantly rejected despite knowledge, the Holy Spirit will turn away and never come again.
In such a case there is only hopelessness. There is no neutral zone. Either you are in God’s path or you are in the clutches of the adversary. There is nothing in between. Conversely, it can be said that (of course) keeping the Sabbath, the Fourth Commandment, which particularly clearly expresses obedience to God, opens the gates for the successful work of the Holy Spirit.
Without the Holy Spirit there is no hope
The work of the Holy Spirit is an absolute prerequisite for recognizing and correctly classifying the truth of Holy Scripture. This is especially true for the prophecies that primarily concern our present day. To have the testimony of Jesus is to have the spirit of prophecy (knowledge), Revelation 19:10:
“…for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.“
Anyone who decides to (finally) keep the Lord’s Sabbath in addition to the other 9 commandments will be able to expect surprises when it comes to understanding the Bible. The desire to do God’s will also includes the Sabbath (7th day of the week)!
Jesus Christ is the truth (John 14:6), the Word is the truth (John 17:17), the law is the truth (Psalm 119:142).
I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
John 17:17
Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.
Psalm 119:142
