In one of the Vatican’s outposts, another miracle appears to have occurred during the Eucharistic ritual. The wafers were about to run out and suddenly the cup was full again.

The miracle happened in Connecticut
The Catholic Church has a new candidate for its inclusion in the list of recognized miracles during the traditional ritual of the Eucharist. An investigation is underway in Connecticut, USA, into a strange event at a mass on March 5, 2023 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Thomaston. After Joseph Crowley finished the ritual, he reported to the Catholic News Agency (CNA) that something unexplained happened during the distribution of communion.
Priest thought it was really cool
Accordingly, one of the communion workers ran out of wafers (“hosts”). In a moment, however, there were more wafers in the ciborium (wafer container) than before. “God has just duplicated himself in the ciborium,” Crowly told those present, apparently moved. The priest thought it was “really, really cool” that “God does these things and it’s really, really cool when we realize what he did and it just happened today,” said the frantic priest . All of this is “very powerful, very impressive, very real, very shocking,” but “it also happens, and today it happened,” said the Catholic minister. In addition to the “miracle of the Eucharist”, “a greater miracle” has now happened and that is “pretty cool”.
“Eucharistic Miracles”
The Vatican always has an open ear for such “miracles”. As a supporter of the “Eucharistic Miracles of the World” initiative, Rome picks out the “convincing” incidents and chooses these as the recognized “miracles” during such a ritual. In this century there are already four recognized “Eucharistic miracles”. In 2001, people in India claim to have seen the face of Jesus on a wafer. In 2006, in Chilpanchingo-Chilapa, Mexico, one of those pastry slices appeared to be bleeding. In 2008, in Sokolka, Poland, a wafer fell to the ground and also appeared to be bleeding, and in 2013, one of these “coconut macaroon pads” in Legnica, Poland, acquired red streaks identified as fragmented pieces of striated heart muscle.
Paul warned against this
Such special occurrences during such a ritual, which Martin Luther already described as “horrible idolatry”, can certainly have a core. Because Paul already recognized the spirit of the adversary in his time and warned people about it, as in 2 Thessalonians 2:7-10:
“For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”
The Eucharist is practiced through that institution which was already designated in Daniel as the one which “will abolish the permanent (sacrifice) (seeDaniel 11:31). With the veneration of the wafer, including the declared presence of the dead and with the help of body parts (“relics”) near the altar, this institution combines spiritism, occultism and open mockery of Jesus Christ through its pagan ritual. So it should come as no surprise that the three lies of the serpent at the fall are featured in the official teachings of cath. catechism can be found.
