The image of Jesus Christ hanging dead on the cross is a specialty of the Roman Catholic Church. A human skull can often be seen at the foot of the cross. This definitely has a meaning. The Church of Rome’s stories about this are absurd and just another mockery of Jesus Christ.

A special feature of the cross of Jesus
There are almost countless depictions of Jesus Christ hanging on the cross. The Roman Catholic Church in particular shows a preference for depicting Jesus Christ in His death. Because this church bases its claimed priesthood on the death of Jesus, but not on His resurrection.
With the traditional Eucharist, which is fundamentally important in the Church of Rome, death is confirmed through constant re-sacrifice. This while simultaneously worshiping the secretly worshiped “Sun God” Mithras or Horus (Info).
Depictions of the crucifixion of Jesus with a human skull at the foot of the cross are not that rare. The Roman Church claims that this is the skull of Adam. According to tradition, of course.
A superficially correct explanation is that Jesus Christ was crucified on Mount Calvary. Golgotha means skull mountain. Nevertheless, the depiction that it is Adam’s skull is irritating. There is no place in the Bible where Adam died and was buried. Nevertheless, the Roman Catholic Church insists that it was Adam’s skull that, according to “legend,” was buried there.
This church believes that it can find supposed confirmation in 1 Corinthians 15:45:
“And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.“
Jesus Christ is therefore the second Adam, which is not wrong. The blood of Jesus flowed over this skull and ultimately seeped into the ground. Another tradition of the Church of Rome claims that the wood of the cross consisted of the seed for the tree of knowledge between good and evil. This seed was planted on Adam’s grave.
David and Goliath
Now a much closer version of what the skulls depicted at the foot of the cross mean, based on what the Bible describes.
David is not only a progenitor in the lineage of the tribe of Judah to Jesus Christ, but also a type of Savior. Psalm 2:7 makes this clear:
“I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.”
In Acts 13:32-33 and Hebrews 1:5 it is clear that this was addressed to Jesus Christ and His resurrection(!).
The account of the encounter between the youthful David and the giant Goliath is well known. Goliath of Gath was the mighty Philistine warrior, a chicken. He had 6 fingers per hand and 6 toes per foot, like the second Goliath (2 Samuel 21:20), was 6 cubits high, and the tip of his spear weighed 600 shekels of iron (1 Samuel 17:4-7). The number 666 can clearly be seen here. Goliath, the frontline fighter against Israel, was a type of Satan.
Young David, a type of Jesus Christ, defeated Goliath, the symbol of Satan. After David struck down the giant with a slingshot, David cut off the Philistine’s head. This he carried to Jerusalem, 1 Samuel 17:54:
“And David took the head of the Philistine, and brought it to Jerusalem; but he put his armour in his tent.”
The skull is intact
While it is not known anywhere where Adam died or where his grave is, it is certainly described that the head of Goliath, a type of Satan, was brought to Jerusalem.
Another significant reference to the story of the skull at the foot of the cross, idiosyncratically told by the Church of Rome, is Genesis 3:15:
“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.“
Already after the first fall, God announced the death of Jesus Christ, almost 4,000 years later. While Satan will “merely” prick the Savior’s heel, Jesus Christ will shatter the skull of the adversary. The final victory over Satan.
The reversal is obvious
But these depictions show a skull that is anything but shattered. Jesus Christ is dead, the skull is intact and the blood of Jesus flows over it. This also reminds us of the exclamation in Matthew 27:25:
“Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.“
This depiction is, as is usual for the Church of Rome, a flat reversal. The supposed victory of Satan over Jesus Christ. This was sometimes confirmed by the current Pontifex Maximus. He described the crucifixion death of Jesus Christ as a mistake.
“…and his life, humanly speaking, ended in failure, in the failure of the cross.” (Source).
The fact that the cross should have been made from the (forbidden) tree of knowledge, according to Catholic “tradition”, the cause of the first sin, the fall of man, for which the Father sacrificed His Son, is the crowning glory of the mockery of Jesus Christ.
Biblical connections can certainly be seen in the depiction of the Roman Church. But as this church manages to do again and again in a bitterly brilliant way, it makes the actual maximum mockery and contempt of Jesus Christ look biblically “sanctified.” Of course, this only applies to believers (especially Catholics) who believe in chatter more than in the written Word of God.
But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
Psalm 37:20
