Easter Valerian – Resurrection is hope for (somehow) everyone

At Easter, the churches proclaim the good news of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Very good news indeed. But if only it were at least at the correct Passover, and above all, the piquant detail that hope must be well-founded were communicated.

“So rejoice in hope”

Death is not the end, according to a message from the churches, including those religious communities that protested earlier. A phrase that is trumpeted ad nauseam by them every year at Easter. Indeed, Easter commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, even if this is rather superficial. Jesus did not rise explicitly on every “Sunday” (“sunday”) every year as a reminder, but simply on the first day of the week, according to the (lunar) calendar of the time, which also ushered in the corresponding Passover. Specifically, on the 14th day of the first month, the 14th of Nissan (Info).

This was followed on the 15th of Nissan by the Day of Unleavened Bread, and on the 16th by the Feast of First Fruits. This sequence of three immediate days, which represent nothing other than the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, the day of rest (on the Sabbath), and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, further proves that the theory that Jesus was crucified on a Wednesday and then resurrected three literal days of 24 hours each later, which would then have been the Sabbath as the day of resurrection, cannot be correct. The sequence of symbolic feasts took place on the 14th, 15th, and 16th of Nissan.

The establishment of Easter as a Sunday took place in 325 at the Council of Nicaea convened by Emperor Constantine. The same one who, around four years earlier, had established Sunday (i.e., the day of the sun) as the “honorable day of the sun,” to be sanctified and honored. The well-known Sunday law, which the Church of Rome vigorously defends to this day (Info).

In addition, the celebration of Easter with eggs, rabbits and, in some regions, even specially prepared ham is based on paganism (Info).<(p>

Everyone lives on somehow

Easter message
Easter message is intended to provide (false) hope

The Easter message, the resurrection of Jesus Christ, is the hope of resurrection after death, so the tenor goes. Which is not wrong in principle, but “a little more” differentiation and, above all, attention to the details of truth would be very appropriate here. Austrian Bishop Michael Chalupka succinctly stated, “this is the hope that drives us, that death is not the end point, but that the resurrection follows it” (Source). He even went one step further by describing the life given by God beyond death as a “risk” that every person must take.

The Bible would actually be understandable.

Yet the Bible is crystal clear, and almost better still, the Roman Catholic Church knows exactly what Holy Scripture says about the nature of the soul. But the Church of Rome deliberately teaches something completely different, and this has been simply adopted or maintained by most churches to this day. There simply is no such thing as a soul separate from the body that maintains a kind of continued life, wherever it may be, after death. (Info).

The widespread version of an “immortal soul” is based on the Hellenistic “minds” of ancient Greece, not on the Gospels. Plato, Aristotle, and others didn’t pull their ideas out of thin air, but rather stumbled upon the writings of Thales of Miletus. A zeitgeist that primarily dealt with mythologies originating from ancient Egypt (Info).

Daniel already differentiated.

Indeed, according to Scripture, every person will have a resurrection. The only important question here, however, is, at which resurrection?! Daniel already knew this, Daniel 12:2:
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Revelation is even clearer

Book of Revelation
Just read Revelation yourself

Anyone who wants to know more needs only to look at Revelation. Revelation 20:4-5:
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

In plain English, there is a “first resurrection.” This applies to all the dead and the living who are declared righteous and who will rise at Jesus’ return, or be transformed into living ones. These are the redeemed or saved. They can convince themselves of the justice of God’s judgments in the following 1,000 years. This will take place in heaven and not on earth, for it will be uninhabitable (Info).

As described in Revelation 20:6:
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

If there is a “first resurrection,” then there must also be a “second resurrection.” This second resurrection, described by Daniel as one of “shame and shame,” is found in Revelation 20:5:
But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

and
Revelation 20:13-15:
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Everything has a legitimate reason.

The second resurrection, and this is also required by God’s eternal justice, serves to communicate the reasons for the judgment to the condemned. Revelation 20 also reveals that Satan will also incite those who are alive again at the second resurrection to final rebellion. In doing so, they themselves provide the ultimate proof that they are still unwavering in their rebellion against God and His laws.

The “second death” is the final and irrevocable extinction of existence. An eternally burning hell is also one of the horror stories of “church fathers” who hold Plato and Aristotle in higher regard than the Bible (Info).

However, the churches’ “Easter messages” do not convey these “piquant details.” To do so, they would also have to explain why God, in addition to love, is also eternally just (Info). Rather, they lull people into a false sense of security that every person has “hope” for continued existence after death. As always, every person will experience the resurrection, but shouldn’t it be the first resurrection?

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
