New variant – Donald Trump the expected Antichrist?

Trump 2024

Deutsch

A new, or rather expanded, theory is making the rounds. Donald Trump, the US President, is the expected Antichrist. It seems that the more the actual prophecies of the Bible are fulfilled, the wilder the hypotheses of the “Christian hawkers” become.

A lot of movement in play

Indeed, a new, or rather restless, wind has been blowing since US President Donald Trump took office again. This shouldn’t really come as a surprise, as he already announced some drastic measures during the election campaign. This particularly concerns the so-called “woke” measures that have now been initiated. Furthermore, a global trade war appears to be developing, as the mutually imposed punitive tariffs are flying across the Atlantic and Pacific.

The prophet Daniel already had something to say about these economic frictions, Daniel 11:40:
And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

Chariots, horsemen and ships are symbols of war machines, armies and (world) trade (Daniel 11 – More info).

New versions of the “Antichrist”

Trump – The Antichrist?

Things are also getting out of hand among Christian-oriented groups that compare visible developments with Bible prophecies. A recent theory, not supported by everyone but nevertheless proclaimed loudly, is that Donald Trump is “the Antichrist.” After all, they are waiting for a future Antichrist, and with the US president, he has now arrived.

The mere theory that the Antichrist will arrive (for the first time) at some point in the future, with the Christian community being brought to safety beforehand through a separate rapture, is already far-fetched. Or rather, created by the “soldiers” of the Jesuit order. (Info). But equating him with the US President is the icing on the cake. Nothing at all fits together, not even with half-hearted readings of Bible texts that aren’t even put into context.

A key characteristic of the “Antichrist” described in the Bible—but this without considering the historical course of the last 2,000 years—is his presumptuous positioning in the “Temple of God.” Donald Trump hasn’t even mentioned such a thing in his “most extraordinary thoughts.” Nor do his actions suggest that he, as a “clergyman,” would want to sit in any sacred place connected to God.

What the Bible describes

Paul described this “Antichrist” in 2 Thessalonians 2:4, among other places:
“Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called god or is worshipped, so that he sits as god in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.”

To apply this to Donald Trump is therefore a misguided thought.

A mistake is also being made regarding the “Antichrist” that should not be underestimated. The “Antichrist” is rarely referred to in the context of quoted verses as it is actually described in the Bible.
– The man of sin (2 Thessalonians 2:3)
– The son of perdition (2 Thessalonians 2:3)
– The mother of harlots (Revelation 17:5)
– The abomination of the earth (Revelation 17:5)

The “Antichrist” in Scripture

The word “Antichrist” does not appear very often in the Bible, and only in John’s letters (KJV):
1 John 2:18:
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

1 John 2:22:
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

2 John 1:7:
For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Bitter irony of prophetic self-fulfillment

If it weren’t so dramatic, one might even find irony in the persistent, loud cries of a coming, or even already arrived, “Antichrist.” The announcement in 1 John 2:18 particularly stands out here. More and more people are hearing that the Antichrist is coming, separated from those who subscribe to these erroneous teachings. But these very people completely overlook the fact that the “Antichrist” has long been at work, specifically in his further attributes as “man of sin, son of perdition, mother of a whore, and abomination of the earth.”

It is also always overlooked that the syllable “anti” comes from Greek and, in addition to “against,” means primarily “instead of.” Thus, while Donald Trump has claimed to be personally protected and sent by God, he has never claimed to be God’s representative or even God on earth. The one who presents himself as “instead of” and thus openly admits to being the “anti” was and still is the papacy. (Info).

Views are drawn away from Rome

But who’s looking toward Rome? All eyes are turned toward the Middle East. And everything seems to be being done to ensure that all attention is directed toward Israel and Jerusalem. The “Third Temple” theme is being played up, red heifers are ready for sacrifices, and even Bible verses are being bent for this purpose. In Luke 21:20, Jesus warns of the actual destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD:
And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

Statements such as:
But when you see Israel besieged by armies, then know that its desolation is near.

Theories that Israel is the secret control center of US geopolitics also serve only to mislead people. After all, this fits perfectly with the statement in Revelation 17:18:
And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

For this purpose it is simply postulated that the “great city” is Jerusalem, ergo Israel.

Everything Waits for the Literal

The result: Everyone is just waiting for the “Antichrist” to come, sit in the Third Temple, and then establish the Kingdom of Peace on Earth. And hardly anyone looks to Rome, where the scriptwriter and director actually sit.

Like the Pharisees at the time of Jesus, people expect a literal, “tangible” kingdom by human standards. But neither the temple nor the kingdom soon to be ruled by Jesus Christ are literal, or of this world.

What is the Temple of God, actually? 1 Corinthians 3:17:
If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

How close is the Kingdom of Jesus to this world? John 18:36:
Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Luke 17:20:
And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

Those who “cry loudest” that the Antichrist is coming soon, or is already here, are also those who most impressively fulfill the prophecy about the coming “last hours” (1 John 2:18)!

Who / What is the anti-system?

Revelation 13 describes two beasts. One coming from the sea, the other from the earth. The “sea beast” is clearly identified as the papacy. (Info).

The USA is the beast from the earth (Info). The beast from the earth is also called the “false prophet.”

The papacy, the anti-Christian system, was not the realization of a few individuals, but of the entire ranks of the (original) Reformation (Info).

Only a Partial Victory Achieved – For Good Reason

The goal of the Counter-Reformation initiated by the Jesuit Order has almost completely achieved this partial victory: to lose sight of the papacy as the earthly representative of the great adversary. So why the great “theater,” even though Satan has long since been judged? Revelation 17:17 answers this question.:
For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

“Until the words of God shall be fulfilled.” Every judgment, whether lost or saved, requires a justification, witnessed by all observers in this world and the next. Who acted how? The justice of God will be proven. (Info).

He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
Luke 10:26-27
