The great deception in the Christian world is expected to continue to the “bitter end.” In the end, the deceived will find themselves battling against the coming Jesus Christ, without even being aware of it.

Attacks are directed against Jesus Christ
The deception of humanity away from the true gospel will likely continue to the “bitter end” and even reach a sad climax. It is highly unlikely that the adversary will ever cease his malicious maneuvers, allowing humanity to recognize their error (in time). Satan’s primary target is Jesus Christ. However, he can no longer personally attack the Son of God. Therefore, the adversary targets those who continue to cling to Jesus Christ according to the gospel. Specifically, those who keep God’s commandments and will hold on to them even in the face of the greatest opposition.
Revelation 12:17 describes it:
“And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”
The woman, the church of God, once faithful and then turned into a whore (Revelation 17:3-5). However, some people remain who have not committed this apostasy and will not do so in the future. This is Satan’s only remaining target. The battle against these people who remain faithful to the gospel will be correspondingly bitter and extremely hard.
The majority are deceived

This also makes it clear that the majority of the churches that call themselves Christian and their people are caught up in an error, a false doctrine, and have therefore long been in the clutches of the adversary. They will not be the target of his attacks. The adversary knows full well that Jesus Christ identifies with His church. What happens to His people concerns Him directly.
As in Zechariah 2:8:
“…for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.“
When Saul (later called Paul) persecuted the early Christians and was on his way to Damascus, he was intercepted by Jesus Christ and confronted with the following words, Acts 9:4:
“…Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?“
It’s obvious. Satan’s attacks are directed against Jesus Christ, and he uses people to do this by leading them into rebellion against God.
Pre-tribulation Rapture
One of these widespread misconceptions describes a rapture of Christians before the beginning of a specific seven-year period of tribulation, a future appearance of the Antichrist, and a 1,000-year period of peace on earth. A majority of evangelicals are already eagerly awaiting the event of a pre-rapture before the tribulation period begins. These are all based on a story invented by Jesuits. (Info).
For this fantasy prophecy, the apologists simply moved verse 27 in Daniel chapter 9 into the future and simply interpreted the prophetic time references in the books of Daniel and Revelation literally. The Jesuit Francis Ribera, in devoted service to the Roman Catholic Church, provided the first example of this.
If the erroneous pre-rapture isn’t faked through media-generated special effects, which wouldn’t be the first time, it simply won’t happen. Nor would the expected Antichrist, who would eventually sit in the “temple of God,” appear. At some point, the deception would be discovered. The question here was how the deception would be continued, and above all, with what goal. However, it is to be expected that Satan will continue his deception to the “bitter end.”
The time of tribulation will be completely different.
It is certain that a time of tribulation will indeed occur. This was announced by Jesus Christ himself in Matthew 24. But for whom will it be a time of tribulation, and more importantly, why? As Revelation 12:17 describes, there will also be persecution. Jesus Christ clearly describes a time of tribulation for those who will hold fast to God’s commandments, and it is these who will suffer persecution. (Info).
The “great remnant” either accepts it or actively participates in the persecution. For them, this time does not appear to be a time of tribulation at all. For they have accepted the legislation that goes against God’s laws and recognize those who remain faithful to the gospel as a “disturbing factor” that must be eliminated if possible.
As Jesus Christ describes in Matthew 24 (and Mark 13, Luke 21), stormy times are to be expected. Above all, adverse natural events, wars, and rumors of war will burden people globally. These will primarily serve to terrify and intimidate people, so that they will not only accept the “benevolent” legislation but actually demand it. Except for those who adhere to God’s commandments.
True tribulation concerns faithfulness to God

This also marks the beginning of the true time of tribulation for those faithful to God, but not for the misled. The subsequent events are expected to occur in rapid succession. The final test for the faithful will be the mark of the beast. (Info). Acceptance of the law concerns “worshiping the beast or its image, taking its name or its number” (Revelation 13:11-18).
Just as it was in the time of Noah, so it will be at the end of time, according to Jesus Christ, according to Matthew 24:38:
“For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,“
This sounds more like a normal, everyday life than a gloomy time. At least for those who don’t suffer persecution because of their conformity.
Just as God closed the gate to the ark, the time of probation will also come to an end. Every person has chosen either to adhere to God’s laws and thereby suffer persecution, or to accept the mark of the beast due to their own conformity to anti-God guidelines. This will be followed by the “great tribulation” (Matthew 24:15-22) in the form of the seven last plagues unleashed by God.
Deception until the “great finale”
At this point, Satan’s deception is likely to take hold. The deceived are still waiting for the Tribulation. This is now beginning, but not the Tribulation of their own imagination; rather, it will be the final plagues sent by God, unbeknownst to the misled. They now await the imminent arrival of the “Antichrist.” Satan will appear “as an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14), posing as the savior of humanity and encouraging humanity to unite in fighting the coming “Antichrist” (Revelation 16:13-14).
The climax of the deception will likely be reached when people, in their false belief, expect an Antichrist, who will actually be the true Jesus Christ. Between the sixth and seventh plagues, people will gather for the “great controversy” (Revelation 16:16). Also described in Revelation 19:19:
“And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.”
A powerful deception. People oppose the coming of Jesus Christ, falsely believing that He is a corrupter.
Why this “complicated scenario”?

A question that arises again and again is why God doesn’t simply put an end to all this evil activity with a single stroke of His hand. Yes, God could even do it with the breath of His mouth. God also knows the thoughts and heart orientation of every single person. Who else knows this? No one. Exactly!
God wants to prove His love and justice. The world should witness His justice. God recently demonstrated His true love for His creatures by giving His only begotten Son (John 3:16). Now it’s “only” a matter of proving the justice of each of His judgments. The proof is provided by people themselves, through their actions (“by their fruits you shall know them”). Participation in the rebellion against God is as visible to everyone as the development of each individual person up to this point.
God has thus demonstrated the justice of His judgment, which was already established before the first plague fell, Revelation 15:4:
“…for thy judgments are made manifest.“
The earthly kingdom of peace is cancelled.
With the return of Jesus Christ, a rapture will indeed take place. However, it will not be a pre-rapture, but the only and final rapture of the saved. The dead will be resurrected in a new, glorified body. The living will receive the same body, and together they will be caught up to meet Jesus Christ in the clouds. They will leave the earth. (Info).
What happens to the “remnant” on earth? Revelation 19:20-21 provides the answer:
“And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.“
Does this look like a 1,000-year kingdom of peace on Earth? According to “Alice in Wonderland,” the Star Wars trilogy, and the Book of Enoch, perhaps, but not according to the Gospel!
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
