Church of Rome’s apostle successor? Visible proves untruth

The Roman Catholic Church sees itself as the successor to the apostles. The Pope is Peter’s immediate successor. Steep theses with which this institution that calls itself Christian tries to justify itself. However, what can be observed speaks directly against these claims.

Truth or imposture?

Peter was the first pope and the church of Rome succeeded the first apostles. Since then, every bishop of Rome has also been Peter’s direct successor. This unsubstantiated claim by the Roman Catholic Church is also the basis for its ability to define new laws, rules, statutes and teachings “in the name of God”. This “of course” in a state of incapacity for error.

The Roman church was built on the rock of Peter. This claim fails simply because of the fact that Peter was never called the rock, but rather the “stone”. The Greek word “petros” means stone. “I will build my church on this rock,” Jesus said. However, the Greek word “petra” stands for the rock. Resourceful clerics argue that the difference lies in the generic gender of these words and that in Latin “petros” also means rock.

Even if this were true, it is completely irrelevant because it is written in Greek in the New Testament and not in Latin. You can’t simply translate a word into another language and derive the message from other grammatical rules. So in Hebrew the spirit (“ruach”) is generically feminine. Does this mean that the Holy Spirit must now be female?

The fact that Peter was the first pope is not based on written documentation, but rather on church tradition. The first historically confirmed bishop of Rome was Anterus. He held the “Chair of Peter” in the years 235 and 236 AD.

Holy Spirit comes into play

In the period after His resurrection and before His ascension, Jesus Christ breathed on His apostles and gave them the Holy Spirit (John 20:22). Ten days after the Ascension the Holy Spirit descended on the apostles, Pentecost. This gave the apostles (supernatural) abilities. These special abilities were distributed among the apostles. Not every apostle received the full spectrum.

Special abilities of the apostles

• Speaking in tongues (other languages, no chatter, Acts of the Apostles 2.4)
• Healing of the sick (Acts 3:7; 14:8)
• Raising of the dead (Acts 9:40)
• Immune to poison (Mark 16:18)
• Immune to snake bites (Acts 28:3-6)
• Power to forgive sins (John 20:23)
• Exorcism of demons (Mark 16:17)

Allegedly apostle successor

The Roman Catholic Church claims to be animated by the same Holy Spirit as the successor of the Apostles. There are currently around 400,000 priests and approximately 5,300 bishops in this church worldwide. The first apostles were just twelve in number. Shouldn’t it therefore be expected that these special abilities given by the Holy Spirit should also be visible in the Church of Rome?

Has a priest, a bishop or even a pope ever been observed speaking a language he had never learned before in front of a crowd so that foreign speakers could understand him? Such as in Japan, Indonesia or Mongolia.

Healing of the sick

Are at least 0.5% (around 2,000) of the ordained “successors of the apostles” swarming out to heal the sick in hospitals?

Well, the health system consisting of hospitals and aid organizations is largely due to this church. At least as far as toasting is concerned, and what else?

– Income from benefits: 383.3 million euros
– Grants: 200 million euros
– Capitalization of own funds: 0.12 million euros
– Annual surplus: 2.1 million euros
It looks like a profitable company with sources of income from public funds (tax dollars), donations and inheritances.

Raising the dead

Has even one of the Roman “successors of the apostles”, for example since the Council of Nicaea in 325, ever brought a dead person back to life? If the extremely bizarre “Corpse Synod” of 897 in Rome, in which the dead Pope Formosus was dug up on behalf of Pope Stephen VI in order to place the decomposed body on a chair for accusation, was an attempt, it failed miserably.

This “Freak Show” alone makes it clear that there is something very wrong with this institution that calls itself Christian.

Immunity to poison

Pope John VIII (872 to 882) proved that even the “Successor of Peter”, the “Vicar of Christ”, is not immune to poison. He was the first pope to be poisoned and then killed. Pope John XIV (983 to 984) was imprisoned. There he was either poisoned or starved to death. No matter, because “even the bread wasn’t safe for him.”

Forgiveness of sins

The claim that sins can be forgiven cannot be proven. As well as? Who other than God Himself can forgive sins? (Luke 5:21). This claim to be able to forgive sins, along with the claim to be God, is clearly described as blasphemy. Believers who simply confess their sins to a priest and trust in his “forgiveness” will unfortunately experience terrible disillusionment. But then it will be too late.

Cast out demons

That still leaves the casting out of demons. Called exorcism in the church of Rome. If one follows the statement in Revelation 13:2, then this ritual, which is certainly full of effects, can also be described as a show. The demonstrated spectacle of a “dream team,” if you will. Officially approved by the local bishop.

Miserable balance sheet

You can twist and turn it however you want. The record of supporting the “apostilicity” of the Church of Rome is abysmal. Instead, this church covers up its false teachings and the emptiness (vacuum) of its claims with expansive, seemingly mystical liturgies that are only intended to impress and, above all, deceive people. This church declares all unjustifiable heresies as “mysterious”. Anyone who reads the Bible quickly realizes what this church actually represents (Info).
