The declared goal of the papacy, the “Holy See Department,” is the renewed fusion of church and state, naturally embellished with the philosophies of Roman Catholicism. A “divinely guided” form of government is in sight. Whatever may come, it has been known for some 2,000 years, and for the faithful of the Gospel, the time for steadfast perseverance is coming.

State and Church – Merger a disaster
The merging of church and state has (almost) never brought anything good to those generally “settled” beneath it. The darkest example in history is the already correctly named “Dark Ages.” It was pitch-dark because the Roman Catholic Church held both swords in its hands: one for religion, the other for the “finite” (state). Emperors, kings, princes, and dukes were subjects of the ultramontane ruler on the “Chair of Peter.”
Henry IV and Pope VII
The most outstanding example of the subservience of secular rulers to the Roman primates is probably the “Walk to Canossa.” After King Henry IV had rebelled against Pope Gregory VII, the Pontiff summarily excommunicated the king. This essentially “dumped” Henry, because excommunication not only excludes communion with the Church, but also deprives him of all civil rights, let alone the right to a royal throne. The Catholic-indoctrinated people were also not exactly delighted to have an excommunicated king over them, since the Church denies the “redeeming sacraments.”
Henry’s “crime” was to maintain a strict separation between church and state. The Pope was not supposed to interfere in secular affairs. The result: Henry, who was granted a period of “reconsideration” by the Pope, set out for the Pope’s current residence: the castle at Canossa. A march across the Alps between December 1076 and January 1077. Arriving in Canossa, Pope Gregory left the begging and pleading Henry to stew, or rather, freeze, outside the gate for three days. Finally, the pope granted absolution to the weeping king. This clearly answered the question about the primate.
Re-merger declared goal

The efforts to reunite church and state are more than evident today. The Church of Rome has been striving for this since the first half of the 16th century, as the efforts of the papacy and its many orders (e.g., Jesuits, Columbus, Malta) are directed toward restoring the “good old power” of the Church as it prevailed before the Reformation.
The Church of Rome is moving closer to the rulers, and the rulers have recently moved closer to the “potential” primate. Even the tones of the returning daughters, the once Protestant, Evangelical Lutheran churches, are more reminiscent of political-ideological activism than of the Gospel.
Vatican & USA join forces
The United States and Vatican City have already closed the former gap between their respective shoulders, initiated by former US President Ronald Reagan. On January 10, 1984, the United States and the Holy See established diplomatic relations. This ended a nearly 120-year period of mutual silence, at least on an official level. Only about half a decade later, the Iron Curtain fell. The current Pontiff is John Paul II. The “West” was declared the victor of the Cold War, and a new era was promptly ushered in.
On June 7, 2011, Rome and Washington, D.C., finally entered into a sister city relationship. The two metropolises became sisters and together form a “historic power couple,” as emphasized in the press release by Reta Jo Lewis, Washington, D.C., on the completed merger of the “two world-class capitals.” (Source).
With current US President Donald Trump, who, at least as he presents himself, calls himself one of God’s chosen ones, the aspect of “Christianity,” or at least religion, has fully arrived in the once purely secular state of the USA. As always, a distortion of historical memory is taking place on this topic as well. The suggested narrative is that we have always been a “Christian country,” and this must be restored. But that’s “not entirely” true. (Info).
Bible prophecy has been saying it for at least 2000 years

The fatal-looking wound on one of the seven heads of the beast from the sea has almost healed. Revelation 13 shows that the old power constellation of the Middle Ages will once again rain down on humanity (Info). The papacy, with two swords in hand, washing its own hands of guilt, will impose its paganism, called Christianity, on humanity through state power. In the future, however, not “only” in the territory of the former “Holy Roman Empire” by direct means, but worldwide.
The many medieval kings who served the papacy as compliant vassals will continue to exist in the future. They will simply exist in modern forms of government. Today, they are prime ministers, presidents, chancellors, general secretaries, and whatever they are called. The strong, economic, and military arm is the USA. Depicted in Revelation 13 as the beast from the earth (Info). “If the United States rules the world, the Catholic Church will rule the world,” said Archbishop James E. Quigley (October 15, 1854 – July 10, 1915), in the Chicago Daily Tribune, May 5, 1903 (Info).
Conditioning everywhere
Thus, more and more people who believe they hold a position of relevant authority are making connections between Christianity and the state. The difference between Catholicism and Protestantism can be neglected here, as it is now limited to mere marginal details. The truth of the Gospel can no longer be found on any side of the major churches. Therefore, it is not surprising that these theories are being put forward that consider a connection between religion and the state to be absolutely necessary.
Like former constitutional judge Paul Kirchof (Catholic). “Without religion, there is no stable constitution,” is his summary. (Source). Kirchof was a member of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences between 2001 and 2011.
Politics and God’s people in the Old Testament
The argument, “Yes, but in the Old Testament there are examples of people from God’s people holding high government positions,” applies only to a very limited extent here. Outstanding examples are Joseph, who was sold to Egypt by his own brothers, and Daniel, who was taken into exile in Babylon at a young age. Both even held leading government positions.
The “big but,” however, lies in the fact that both were truly faithful followers of God and remained so during their lifetimes. As a counterexample, one can look almost at any number of the former kings of ancient Israel and observe the results of their reign. One apostasy from God’s path after another. Even the wise Solomon had places of worship built for pagan gods.
Furthermore, Jesus Christ himself described the kingdom he led in John 18:36:
“My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.“
Even the arrival of His kingdom was completely different from what humanity has been told to this day. Luke 17:20:
“And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:“
Whatever happens – persevere!

Whatever the “divinely guided” global state structure installed by the Beast from the Earth, on behalf of the Beast from the sea, looks like, God’s law will be trampled underfoot, even though everything will appear so “Christian.” People are still being driven into different ideological camps. But the coming synthesis is imminent. (Info).
This is where we have to get through, according to Revelation 14:12:
“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”
and especially to pay attention to all three messages of the angels presented in Revelation 14! (Info).
Once this is over, then follows:
And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
