Attacks on the “remnant of women” are expanding

Slowly but surely, and above all visibly, the attacks are being expanded to target people who are still faithful to God. The focus here is particularly on the Seventh-day Adventist Church. No surprise, since the attacks on the “Remnant of the Woman” were predicted almost 2,000 years ago.

The momentum continues to increase

There is movement on social media and from a biblical or prophetic perspective the dragon seems to be gaining momentum. Revelation 12:17:
“And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.“

More and more pages and channels are popping up on social media that specialize in attacking the Protestant Seventh-day Adventist Church (SDA). This should come as no surprise, however, since it is clearly prophesied that it will be the people of God who will ultimately suffer persecution (Info).

The main focus is on the observance of the biblical Sabbath (“Saturday”), which is strongly emphasized by the SDA. The attacks are made directly, or in a roundabout way, by emphasizing that the laws have finally been abolished and therefore the Sabbath has also been abolished. In addition to the usual narratives of a “love-only cuddle gospel” in the context of ecumenism, Ellen G. White in particular is targeted. However, these attacks usually take the form of alleged lies, brainwashing, untruths, nonsense, etc., but without any solid support from Scripture.

Another characteristic is the complication of simple relationships. Clear biblical statements are blown up into a thicket of arguments using supposedly appropriately compiled individual verses. The main thing is to cause confusion. Discussions and arguments based on biblical contexts, including references to sources, are often met with blocking.

Be that as it may, the character and style of these “specialized” channels have one thing in common. It’s always the same lion who goes around angry because he knows that his time is running out.

Well-known style of defamation

The popular method of simply defaming unpleasant opponents by calling them stupid and ridiculing them is not a new phenomenon. As early as the 17th century, the arch-opponents of the Reformation took the path of slander. After all, Martin Luther was not the only one who recognized the true nature of the Church of Rome (Info).

Georg Holzhai SJ

The Jesuit Georg Holzhai (1571 – 1646) wrote in his book “Wonderful Comedy, from the Roman Pope and Antichrist” (1626) to ridicule the findings of the reformers.

According to the subtitle, “Started by the naive Evangelical preachers and stopped by Gerogium Holzhai of the Societet Iesu.”

Johann Kraus SJ

The Jesuit Johann Kraus (1694 – 1732) provided another model example with his book “The fictitious Roman Antichrist, brought into the world by some Lutherans’ brainless fantasies”. Kraus went on the offensive by accusing the Protestants of being stupid.

Consistent statements from the Bible

In this context, Ezekiel 28:16 seems very interesting. This passage describes Satan, his fall into sin, and his final apostasy.
“By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.“

The Hebrew word “rekullah” stands for the word “merchandise”. Primarily an expression of literal trading. But also used in a figurative sense as an expression for slander.
