The question about the identity of the “beast from the earth” in Revelation 13 is easily answered today. There is only one political power that fits all the descriptions found in the Bible. It’s the USA.

The Bible gives clear information
The prophecies of the Bible are not formulated in great detail, but they nevertheless describe the future in an astonishingly precise way. By far most of the prophecies have already been fulfilled. Only a handful of predictions not only concern the future, but are currently being made in full view of the public. However, this is only recognized by a minority because the reference to biblical prophecies is only marginally widespread.
The first reformers, as well as the Protestants who followed, saw the prophecies, especially in the books of Daniel and Revelation, in a new light after studying them. For example, they recognized the Roman Catholic Church as the “son of perdition, the mother of all harlots, the abomination of the earth and the man of sin.” (Info). In short, the Papacy is the identified Antichrist (Info).
The “first beast” in Revelation, Chapter 13, plays an extremely important role here. This beast, with some characteristics like the first three beasts in Daniel 7, is clearly the political power of the Roman Catholic Church, with a fatal wound in 1798 and subsequent healing. The first beast from the sea is described in Revelation 13:1-10. (Bibel, Revelation 13). This beast is merely one of the “Trio of Babylon,” which consists of the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet. There are more detailed details about the descriptions in the books of Daniel and Revelation about God’s earthly adversary here.
The beast from the earth – world power USA
While the dragon symbolizes God’s great adversary, Satan, and the beast from the sea symbolizes the Roman Catholic Church, only the question of the false prophet remains unanswered. For this purpose, another beast appears in Revelation 13, from verse 11. It is the “beast from the earth”. The first reformers in the 16th and 17th centuries knew about the beast from the earth, but did not have the opportunity to assign the characteristics to a political power based on what was observable. The USA was not yet on the “screen”. It was only with its founding in 1776, during the emerging unrest in Europe that culminated in the French Revolution, that this political, independent power was born.
What seems interesting here is that after the USA was founded in 1776, international recognition only took place in 1798, the exact year in which the first beast (from the sea) received the fatal wound. Historically, this was evident when the French general Berthier brought the incumbent Pope Pius XI out of the Vatican and declared him deposed.
From today’s perspective, the attribution of the beast from the sea to the USA has been proven for a long time, something that was not possible for the “pioneers” of the Reformation in their time. All that is needed to prove this is to look at the descriptions in Revelation 13 and look into this world.
Revelation 13:11-13
The Bible’s wording for the beast from the earth in verses 11 to 13 is as follows:
“11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,“
Initially an innocent lamb
In verse 11 we see that this beast rises up out of the earth. What does earth mean? Since larger bodies of water, or the sea, mentioned in prophecy represent peoples, languages and nations (see Revelation 17:15), the earth is an area with very little water. This means that this beast emerged from an area with a very small population.
Furthermore, it is described in verse 11 that this beast had two horns like a lamb. At best, the lamb only has short stubby horns. In addition, the lamb is always a symbol of Jesus Christ. This indicates a Christian-oriented, rising country or political power. Yet this beast spoke like a dragon. Came up as a Christian and then adopted the teachings of the adversary and applied them accordingly.
In contrast to the first beast (from the sea), which had 7 heads and 10 horns and 10 crowns (Revelation 13:1), the second beast (from the earth) had 2 horns but no crowns. The crown stands for kingships or monarchies. This form of government was exclusively the case in Europe during the period of absolute political power of the papacy until 1798. Many kings and princes and a (papal) “emperor” in Rome. The first democracies followed in the wake of the French Revolution. The USA was the first great democracy. An absolute novelty at the time. Today it is seen as completely normal, but at the time it was founded it was an absolute “sensation”.
All features of a monarchy were gone. No dictatorial autocracy, absolute separation between church and state, and sovereignty among the people. The “New World” was born and this magnetically attracted the people of troubled Europe. In the first wave of immigration, it was mainly Protestants who sought salvation in the states before the Declaration of Independence due to the tyrannical persecution by the Church of Rome. The founding of the USA was definitely characterized by Christian and biblical characteristics. A completely Protestant country.
Revelation 13:14-15

Verse 14 – Signs and Wonders
The second beast receives power from the first beast and this in turn received power and throne from the dragon (Satan). Verse 14 describes the beast from the earth doing what the first beast wanted.
The first Pentecostal communities emerged in the USA at the beginning of the 20th century. A new form of “Christianity” that elevates spirituality and emotion over the Word of God. In the 1960s, immediately after the conclusion of the Second Vatican Council, the phenomenon of “Charismatic Renewal” appeared. The difference between the Pentecostals and the Charismatics essentially lies in their organization. The “theology” of both groups is almost identical. These groups still call themselves Christian, but practice pure spiritualism under the guise of the Holy Spirit.
The characteristics of Pentecostals and charismatics include show performances during church services in the form of healing, hypnosis, ecstasy, screaming and, above all, “speaking in tongues”. A demonic spiritual practice resulting in pure gibberish (Info). Another characteristic is the casting out of evil spirits and the summoning of the (supposed) Holy Spirit. “Fire from heaven” (fire is, among other things, a symbol of the Holy Spirit).
Prominent representatives of such charismatic movements are Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Joel Osteen, Reinhard Bonnke (died in 2019) and Joyce Mayer. These figures not only preach “the blue of the sky”, but are usually also involved in politics. Copeland was a close advisor to US President Donald Trump.
Today Pentecostals and Charismatics have more than 600 million members worldwide. That’s quite a number. The trend continues to rise sharply, especially in the USA, which also represents the starting point for the global specification of “theologies”.
Verse 14 – Global Power
Another statement in verse 14 is striking, “and it says it to those who dwell on the earth.” Other translations of the Bible express it as “it makes.” There is nothing about coercion here. This also worldwide. That is why the beast from the earth must be a great power. A democratic great power, as described in verses 11 to 13 using the two ears (on one head) without crowns. A power that has the political, economic and, not least, military potential to implement the will of the first beast globally.
Since verse 14 does not explicitly say “compulsion,” it looks more like seduction. This in the form of marketing, persuasion, example. “The American way of life,” if you will, that people embrace. This Americanization has been noticeable for decades. Be it the language through the addition of anticisms, the new job titles or the (cramped) meetings held internally in English in larger German companies.
What can be called a “great power” today? That left the USA,
Russia and China. The USA operates around 1,000 military bases worldwide. Russia maintains around 20 bases and China only maintains a single external military base, namely the Horn of Africa, in Djibouti.
Which of the three great powers can be described as Christian? China stands out in this category. Russia, on the other hand, with the patriarch Kirill at the helm, has an Orthodox orientation in the country. A minority compared to the “rest” Christian world. All that remains is the USA, which has huge military potential, Christianity, which also holds the economic strings in its hands through the dollar monopoly and the “limitless right to multiply” of the US Federal Reserve. All in service of the first beast (from the sea).
Verse 15 – The worship
Verse 15 describes a “spirit” created by the beast from the earth that looks like the first beast from the sea. A reflection of the philosophy dictated by the papacy. The encyclicals “Laudato Si'” and “Fratelli Tutti” by Pope Francis come to the fore here. “The preservation of creation” with favored earth recreation day on a Sunday, as well as “brotherhood and social justice” within a united human family. Nature conservation in particular has already been elevated to a “faith-based” religion in 2023 (Info).
The last part of verse 15 describes “worship.” This clearly highlights a religious characteristic. This step is still in the future, but is already underway. The “theology” of US evangelicals and the foreign policy they conduct have long corresponded to the ideas of the Roman Church. The US “just” has to use its already existing sphere of influence to convince the entire world to somehow obey the will of the papacy. This does not necessarily have to mean “falling on your knees” to worship the Pope, but rather following the instructions of the “Holy See”. These “guidelines” to be followed are guaranteed to go against God’s commandments.
Revelation 13:16-17 – The mark
Verses 16 and 17 of Revelation 13 describe the mark of the beast.
“16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.“
The force
The beast from the earth, the United States, will use its political, military and economic power to carry out the will of the first beast (the papacy). What has not been achieved so far through the art of persuasion will be continued through coercion and coercion. It is already possible today to exclude the economic participation of every single person. All you need to do is close your bank account and exclude yourself from any SWIFT transfers. As usual, all threads towards the USA come together here. Here, too, there is still some future ahead, because the full possibility of economic exclusion has ended with the introduction of a digital currency as a replacement for cash.
It is therefore obvious that economic participation is only possible if the introduced “rules of the game” are supported, i.e. recognized or accepted, in the spirit of the Church of Rome. Revelation 13:18 – Die Zahl des Tieres

Do all of these descriptions, requirements and characteristics correspond to Russia or China? The beast from the earth described in Revelation 13 can clearly be assigned to the USA. There is no alternative great power that holds political, economic and military affairs worldwide in its hands in order to implement the will of the first beast from the sea (the papacy) worldwide.

How committed the USA has been to creating a “peaceful world” since its founding can be seen from its history:
Archbishop James E. Quigley (October 15, 1854 – July 10, 1915) explained in the Chicago Daily Tribune, May 5, 1903, who is the motivator for such great effort:
“Within twenty years this country is going to rule the world. Kins and emperors will soon pass away, and the democracy of the United States will take their place. The west will dominate the country, and what I have seen of the western parochial schools has proved that the generation which follows us will be exclusively Catholics. When the United States rules the world the Catholic church will rule the world.“
A little outlook
The (charismatic) voices from the Republican political camp are becoming louder and louder in view of the upcoming presidential elections in the USA in 2024. The “government program” of the very confident Republicans, with Donald Trump in office again in this case, has already been cooked, the “Project 2025”. In addition to a whole range of announced measures, some have also been prepared for the Christian part. This concerns the observance of Sunday rest, which is subject to sanctions (Info).
The current fulfillment of Revelation 13 can be followed with continued excitement. At the same time, important information in chapters 11, 12, 14, 17 and 18 also applies. There is still some time left to leave this raging Babylon (Info).
