Believers and Opponents – “Return Accelerators” of Jesus Christ

Believers and opponents of the gospel can act as “return accelerators” for the renewed arrival of Jesus Christ. While those who are faithful to God can do this on their own initiative, God’s opponents do this involuntarily but still effectively.

The time of Jesus Christ’s return is unknown

People who believe in the gospel are fully capable of hastening the return of Jesus Christ. It may sound paradoxical, but this applies even to people who really don’t have much use for the gospel and even to those who openly fight against the gospel. In a certain way, people can act as a sort of “return accelerator”.

People who believe in the Word of God do not know when Jesus Christ will return. Even Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, the Word of God made man, did not know when the Second Coming would take place during His time on this earth (Matthew 24:36).

Prophecies are event-oriented

Timed prophecies ended in 1844 and this was circa 550 B.C. Described in the book of Daniel, chapter 8, verse 14. All prophecies that describe a period beyond this are connected to specific events. Part of it is in the book of Daniel, most of it is in the book of Revelation. Jesus Christ gives us a larger perspective in His end-time sermon in Matthew 24 (Luke 21).

The apostles describe further details based on the letters they sent. Therefore, the Gospel provides numerous clues to current and future events(Info). The “grand finale” consists of the return of Jesus Christ in all His glory. However, we have not been told the exact time, the year, the hour.

One event replaces the other

Events that occur one after the other, which bring the second coming closer in time, also represent a respective condition. If event “B” follows event “A”, “B” can only occur if “A” has taken place beforehand. Such a necessary event is described inRevelation 14:6:
“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,“

In addition to the love that is generally emphasized by the churches, God is also the justice that is usually kept secret by the same churches. People cannot be judged according to the law, the basis of justice, until they have ever learned this truth. So the foundation is only created when the gospel is actually available to every nation, to every tribe and in every language. This is also what Apostle Mark described for the time of the end, Mark 13:10:
“And the gospel must first be published among all nations.“

Spreading the Bible is on the rise

In fact, the Bible is now available in more and more languages. A real explosion in the spread of the gospel took place in the 19th century. One Bible society after another sprouted up. However, the vast majority of different languages ​​form an excerpt from the Gospel. In 2022, around 35.5 million more Bibles were distributed worldwide (Info). There is at least one book of the Bible in 3,610 languages. The New Testament is available in 1,622 languages. Around 7.7 billion people are now reached with at least parts of the gospel. Accelerated Spread of the Gospel

The further spread of the gospel ensures the fulfillment of one of the prerequisites for Jesus Christ’s return. The acceleration of the distribution of the Bible can also mean a “return accelerator” for Jesus Christ’s return. In this case from the part that can’t do much with the statement of the Word of God. The Bible Society is working on disseminating the Scriptures in many languages, but those responsible no longer seem to be able to do much with the content (Info).

Church of God as a “return accelerator”

The community of God itself plays an important role in “accelerating the return”. This means that all communities or churches that have created their own set of rules or even declared God’s commandments to be invalid are disqualified (Info).
An important prerequisite for an accelerating effect is described in Acts 5:12:
“And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch.“

Here the emphasis is on “one accord”. The end-time church of God is anything but unanimous. This was particularly evident in the crisis years 2020 to 2022 and currently due to the widespread “rainbow philosophy”. There is also disagreement on the question of ecumenism. A solidarity with all possible denominations and religions, whereby the mother church and its pope should be recognized as the highest guiding figures.

Laodicea must purify itself

The biggest problem within the church of God at the moment is the widespread laziness and blindness of the church members. According to Revelation 3:14-22, Jesus Christ had only reproof for the church of Laodicea. This directly addressed the community at this time and at the same time represents the prophetic view of the final community (Info). Jesus Christ exhorted the Laodicean church to buy refined gold (belief in the gospel) and to apply ointment to their eyes (for blindness). The faster this happens, the more it accelerates the occurrence of the prophesied subsequent events.

Resistance to the gospel has an accelerating effect

But all of this has to be like this. God knows about His truly faithful followers. He can look into every person’s heart. But the “rest of the universe” doesn’t know this. The primary thing is not the salvation of man, but the justification of God (Info), by man living according to God’s statutes and thereby glorifying Him. The salvation of man through grace based on faith is a logical consequence, but only secondary in the overall picture.

Crises cause triage

The crisis reveals the true character of man. This also applies to the members of God’s church. With the crises occurring more and more frequently and more violently, the true believers and also the “hypocrites” reveal themselves. The wheat is separated from the chaff and is visible to every observer. A sighting will take place and most of the community will join the world. Another part will leave the world and accept Jesus Christ. In this way, the perpetrators of the crises actually act like “return accelerators” because they ensure that what is left of the community can fulfill God’s will with unanimity. And this particularly includes the further spread of God’s good news.

Adversaries also act like accelerators

The time when scoffers will ask more loudly when Jesus Christ will finally come is already within reach. With a unanimous congregation, however, this ridicule rolls off like a drop of water on an oiled surface. Peter knew about this development because the scoffers already existed in his time. 2. Peter 3:4-9:
“And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.“

The prophecies that are still open are all events, without any indication of time. The community and its adversaries therefore pull together and the greater the efforts for their good or evil works, the more strongly they act as “return accelerators”.
