Range of pagan rituals in the Roman Catholic Church

Ritual-Schale

Deutsch

The paganism of the Roman Catholic Church can be recognized solely through the rituals it practices. A whole package of traditions that are completely alien to the gospel. A small excerpt of this extensive “product range” of pagan customs follows due to its relatively high level of popularity.

Paganism evident in rituals

The Roman Catholic Church continually surprises outsiders with previously unknown ceremonies and rituals. A “holiness” wrapped in pomp and splendor, carried by impressive organ music and deeply touching melodies from the choirs. Everything glitters with gold, silver and precious stones. You are impressed.

These profound impressions are also necessary because the rituals practiced by the Roman Catholic Church according to its own tradition only serve to compensate for the missing gospel. The more empty or false the religion, the more man must be impressed with overwhelming things.

Roman Catholic Traditions

The Church of Rome practices a whole range of rituals as a cherished tradition. The following examples represent just the tip of the iceberg and are among the most well-known features of this church.

  1. Praying the Rosary
  2. Address prayers to the dead
  3. Worship and kneeling before images and figures
  4. Organization of processions
  5. Appointment of Apostle Peter as “Pope”
  6. Organization of trade fairs
  7. Wearing a scapular
  8. Baptism of infants and young children
  9. Believe in purgatory
  10. Using “Holy Water”

There is nothing about this in the Bible

Mark Bible
Bible is the only standard

All of these rituals of the Roman Catholic Church have one thing in common. None of these cherished traditions were ever practiced by the 12 apostles. Such rituals or teachings are not contained in the Bible either as practice or as theoretical teaching. They are exclusive “innovations” of the Roman institution.

Nor are these rituals that deviate in any way from the instructions of the Bible. In this case, it would be easy to point to the appropriate Bible passage to prove faulty practices. But the rosary, purgatory, masses, infant baptisms, “holy water”, etc. do not appear anywhere in the Bible. They don’t exist.

However, God’s laws (commandments) and statutes are clearly defined. The will of God and the abomination He describes are formulated unmistakably. There are indeed violent collisions between the statutes of God and the traditions of the Roman Catholic Church.

Strange rosary prayer

This composition of a thread and numerous beads, which also shows a remarkable parallel to the practices of Islam, is actually a category in itself. Praying the Rosary is more about Mary than it is about Jesus Christ. In the Catholic case it is a “very special” Mary anyway – Info.

There are different “prayer” templates for praying the rosary, as far as one can even speak of a prayer. It is a repetition of a rigid sequence of a formula. Various versions have been devised for this ritual, just as if the celebrant simply had to press a different button on the machine.

The Bible has a clear answer for this strange ritual, Matthew 6:7-8:
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Since the Roman Catholic Church places the dogmas formulated in its catechism above the gospel, word has not yet spread in this circle that the deceased are (really) dead. This means that there is no soul that separates from the body after death – more on this Info. This means nothing other than that the rosary mantras addressed to Mary also come to nothing, because Mary lies in the grave.

Addressing prayers to the dead

The cult of the dead has its origins

The Bible describes the whole, living person as the soul. Not accepted by the Roman Catholic Church and, against better judgment, defines an immortal soul in Catechism 366. Unfortunately, the once Protestant churches have also adopted this myth. The majority of people today who consider themselves Christian believe in such a soul that is independent of the body. It is Hellenistic philosophy, but not the gospel.

The very belief in a soul that lives “somewhere in the afterlife” is already spiritualism. The person who directs prayers to the deceased is fully in the element of spiritualism and also has a foot in the occult. A matter of course in the Roman Catholic Church and also “strongly recommended”. Be it Mary, a deceased “blessed” or even a “saint”, prayers to them are even obligatory as part of intercessions.

Loyola requires calls for the dead

One of the most important “saints” of this church, the main founder of the Jesuit order Ignatius of Loyola, even prescribes this special address to the dead as part of the “ecclesiastical ethos”:
One should value the relics of the saints by paying homage to them and by offering prayers to the saints. One should praise the visits to the station churches, the pilgrimages, the indulgences, the anniversaries, the crusade bulls and the lighting of candles in the churches.” (Spiritual exercises, “Rules about ecclesiastical attitudes”, pos. 6)

A whole package of regulations that can only be found in the Gospel in the context of paganism.

The Bible has a corresponding answer to the topic of “directing prayers to the dead.”, Deuteronomy 18:10-12:
There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

Worship of images and figures

Catholic spirit
The omnipresent spirit of Catholicism

This practice, which is extremely lively in the Roman Catholic Church, is such a hot topic that the “fathers” of this institution quickly adapted God’s commandments in their official teaching. The Second Commandment, the ban on worshiping images and figures (idols), was simply deleted from the scholarly list of the 10 Commandments (Info). This commandment can still be found in the catechism, but as an appendage to the First Commandment and treated as completely unimportant to the outside world.

This practice is also further evidence that the church places its own developed dogmas above the gospel. As a “refresher”, the Second Commandment according to Exodus 20:4-5:
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

In short: Make anything from absolutely nothing in order to venerate or even worship it!

The ritual of the procession

The church of Rome has obviously invented many reasons to impressively celebrate a street parade in full pomp for the local people. Be it the figure of Mary being carried around, the biscuit slice in the monstrance declared to be the “body of Christ” or any other veneration of some “saint”, there is no such thing in the Bible.

Corpus Christi procession
Corpus Christi procession – ‘Body of Christ’ is taken for a walk

Only in the Old Testament, when the people of Israel were still wandering through the desert, was carrying the Ark of the Covenant, and basically the entire tabernacle as well, obligatory. The primary (profane) reason was transportation from Site A to Site B. After reaching the Promised Land, the people carried the Ark of the Covenant, specifically defined by God Himself as His abode with His people, before them during the capture of the land.

However, if one were to look for clues in the Bible as to whether the apostles organized any processions or even carried the still-living Mary around in a kind of palanquin, then the result would remain sobering. Something like this only exists in the Catholic Church’s “manual of faith.” Such a procession is usually associated with veneration or worship of the dead and images (idolatry).

Apostle Peter was the first pope

In order to be able to declare Peter as the primacy of the early church, a hierarchy such as that found in the church of Rome today would be needed. However, this was never intended and the first community made up of the apostles and converts had never established such a hierarchy with authority to issue instructions, let alone legislative power. There were church elders who were even called “angels” (messengers) according to Revelation 2 and 3. But this was more due to general respect for the elder than to any constitutional hierarchy.

The Roman Catholic Church stubbornly clings to the myth that Peter was the “rock” of the community. Jesus Christ called the apostle, then called Simon, “petros” (Greek), meaning “stone”. At the same time, Jesus Christ also defined “petra”, i.e. the rock, and by that He meant himself. Catholic apostolicity is completely out of thin air. You could also call it imposture. More on this – hier.

Peter was condemned and executed in Rome. Understanding the apostle as the first pope is one of the symptoms of ideas with a pathological character.

The “Holy Masses”

Monstrance worship
The celebrated sun symbol par excellence – monstrance with wafer

The Mass celebrated by the Catholic Church within the framework of the Eucharist is not only at the absolute center of this institution, but also represents one of the highlights of the contempt and mockery of Jesus Christ and His redemptive work for people. According to dogma, Jesus Christ is the “authorized” priest sacrificed again and again. It is the keeping of Jesus Christ in the state of death. At the same time, the thin biscuit slice is revered as a “sanctuary” but represents the sun symbol of the Egyptian pagan god Osiris.

Believers are told that this cookie slice turns into the literal, true flesh of Christ (transubstantiation) and that this must be eaten. “No forgiveness without shedding of blood,” is the clear wording of the Bible (Hebrews 9:22)..

Wine symbolized the blood of Jesus Christ. But the Catholic faithful are deprived of this wine at mass. Only the priest is allowed to become intoxicated by using alcoholic wine. Further information about the abomination of the Eucharist – here.

A scapular as a “service disguise”

Only the caste of priests (only from the tribe of Levi) had to adhere to a dress code when carrying out their duties. A scapular, on the other hand, is a tradition of monasticism within the Roman Catholic Church. This hermit existence with a once shaved head is another exclusive feature of this church, which is associated with paganism in the Gospel.

The Bible knows the practice of shaving the head. However, mentioned as a warning against doing this like the Gentiles, Deuteronomy 14:1:
Ye are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.

Shaving the head was a pagan custom associated with the dead. This in turn fitted in with the alleged contacting of the deceased practiced in the church of Rome. In other religions, e.g. Buddhism, shaving the head is also a permanent practice. But even in this religion, which knows no God, the connection to supposedly dead people and beings in the afterlife known as angels is an integral part.

Baptism of infants and young children

Pseudobaptism
Pseudo-baptism of an infant without a confession of faith

Baptism of (underage) infants and small children is as pointless as it is meaningless. The Roman Catholic Church teaches a so-called “original sin”. This is to be understood in such a way that Adam’s sin will be passed on to all subsequent generations. Adam’s guilt is passed on from generation to generation. According to this church, people are already born in debt and are therefore automatically lost.

Only baptism can wash away guilt and thus enable man to live eternally. With these teachings, which completely deviate from the Gospel, the Church automatically defines itself as a sacrament. Without the Roman Catholic Church, no person could experience salvation, since ultimately they could only come to the Heavenly Father through the Church (and Mary, and saints, even past Jesus Christ).

The doctrine of original sin is nonsense and therefore also the justification for infant baptism. After Adam’s fall, man is indeed a fallen creature and inclined to sin, but the guilt of a sin committed lies solely with the perpetrator, Ezekiel 18:20:
The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Before baptism comes first the confession of faith. A difficult undertaking with minors who cannot even speak. In addition, there is the implementation of baptism, which according to the Bible is associated with immersion. More information about proper baptism – here.

A (Catholic) purgatory

Fegefeuer
Purgatory business idea

Actually, this topic could have been dealt with quickly. A concept of purgatory is completely unknown to the gospel. Not even mentioned as a metaphor. An idea from our own house at a time when the Middle Ages were at their darkest thanks to the Roman Catholic Church. The oldest evidence of mention of purgatory dates back to the 12th century. Hildebert of Lavardin, Archbishop of Tours, was the first to use the term “purgatory”.

A “short and sweet” statement from Paul throws out the “great business idea” of purgatory in connection with the lucrative sale of indulgences,Hebrews 9:27:
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Use “Holy Water”

Water certainly plays a role in the Gospel as a symbolic representation in relation to Jesus Christ, in prophecy and of course in baptism. Jesus Christ bestows the “water of life” in John 4:14:
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

In prophecy, water represents peoples, languages and nations (Revelation 17:15) and in the final calls for admonition and warning, water also plays a role again, something life-giving, Revelation 22:17:
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

However, the Roman Catholic Church uses “holy water” to be used as a blessing, not to drink but to be splashed with. As they enter, believers dip their fingers into a font of holy water to make the sign of the cross with wet fingers. The blessing according to the Rituale Romanum states that the holy water is able to banish “all hostility of the unclean spirit” and thereby “drives away the terror of the poisonous snake and calls in the helpful assistance of the Holy Spirit.”

The ritual expulsion of unclean spirits by splashing a bundle of brushwood dipped in “holy water” can also be found in Buddhism.

The Catholic Church’s holy water practice has its origins in ancient paganism. It was common practice to take water from “magical springs” for use in driving away “evil spirits” and protecting people who had been splashed. Holy water also experienced a steep rise in the Roman Catholic Church in the 4th century. So basically after the first big push of apostasy from the gospel, especially through the adoption of the cult of Mithraism (Info).

True nature Roman church

The mother of whores has been known for a long time

The rituals and practices of the Roman Catholic Church, which are already superficially visible, are evidence enough that this “faith institution” only has something to do with the Gospel in passing. If one also takes into account the teachings that are essential for human salvation and compares the Gospel with Catholicism, then this church can easily be identified as the house of God’s adversary (Info).
