The often propagated process of the end times and the details given about it are sometimes very misleading. There is a (secret) pre-rapture and a thousand-year kingdom of peace on earth, according to a widespread variant of many theses. However, there shouldn’t be any ambiguity about this. Simply pick up the Bible yourself and find out the truth.

The “modern theology” wants the “modern religion”
There are variants circulating about the end times, which according to the Bible’s descriptions are undoubtedly already in an accelerated process, which cannot be reconciled with the words of God. One of the widespread stories is the so-called pre-rapture of the Christian communities, the subsequent tribulation or tribulation, the arrival of the Anti-Christ and the final arrival of the Messiah. He will establish a thousand-year empire here on earth in which peace and harmony will reign. During these thousand years people will then have the opportunity to convert. All of this in connection with a third temple in Jerusalem. Christians, Jews, Muslims and other believers will live in unity and peace on earth.
This is a variant that is mainly represented by evangelical or Protestant churches and also corresponds to the ideas of the Jewish faith. This is obviously the intention, as the ultimate goal is “great global unity” within a united human family. After all, “Hollywood” used actor Nicolas Cage as the leading actor in the film “Left Behind” (2014). A movie that is supposed to represent the “sudden rapture” with the possible consequences for the given time.
However, this story about the end and “after” times can quickly be proven to be a mistake if only the Bible is consulted. For example, Matthew 24:40-41 is often used as (supposed) evidence for the thesis of a (secret) early rapture:
“Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.”
This scene was recreated in the Hollywood film, only it wasn’t field workers and millers, but rather a co-pilot and the little brother of a leading actress. A priest was even left behind. This circumstance is obviously intended to add credibility if some well-known pastors are still alive on earth despite the “rapture”.
Easy testing by yourself(!) reading the Bible
The supposed proof of the early rapture based on the above-mentioned verses in Matthew goes up in smoke when this statement made by Jesus during the Sermon on the Mount is read in context. The “effort” for this is simply reading the preceding and following verses. Admittedly, opening the Bible or clicking on it for the Internet version is “more strenuous” than simply taking over what has been heard and seen, coming from untested “messengers of salvation”. Already from verse 29 it becomes clear that this rapture will take place at the time of Jesus’ return and not at a certain time before. The additional reading of the following verses was also sufficient to quickly dispel the heresy of a pre-rapture. Matthew 24:42-44:
“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up..”
It couldn’t be clearer. The raptures and abandonment will not occur at a time X before the beginning of the Tribulation, but rather at the return of Jesus Christ. However, with this event the end is sealed. There will be no more 3.5 or 7 years. Those caught up are the redeemed and those left behind are the lost. In addition, the Bible offers a few other passages that not only describe the details of Jesus’ return, but also rule out an early rapture.
Jesuit Counter-Reformation invented new history
The variant of 7 years of “purification” and “healing” in the future, in which an anti-Christ will make a covenant with many and stop grain offerings and burnt offerings with the subsequent arrival of the Messiah, does not arise from what the Bible says , but is a “grandiose” idea of the Jesuits Francisco Ribera and Robert Cardinal Bellarmine, at the end of the 16th century. This pre-rapture of the Christian community comes from the pens of Manuel de Lacunza y Dias, also a Jesuit, at the end of the 18th century. They created what is known as futurism by simply separating the last week of the 70-year week according to Daniel 9:27 and shifting it into the future, including “embellishments”. A purely idiosyncratic interpretation. Why? The Vatican or the papacy had long been identified by the first Protestants as the Anti-Christ, also described in Revelation.
The Jesuits, founded in 1534 and unleashed on humanity by Pope Paul III in 1540, had only one goal: the destruction of Protestantism (Counter Reformation), which had really emerged in 1517. After all, until then the general public was forbidden from owning their own Bible. Martin Luther translated the Bible into German and William Tyndale into English. The distribution of the Bible broke the Vatican’s monopoly on interpretation. Now action had to be taken accordingly. To do this, the Catholic Church should be taken out of the firing line of fingers pointing at the anti-Christ. With the moving of the 70th week of the year into the future and the connection with the Anti-Christ, he had not yet appeared at all. The descriptions in Revelation that were extremely apt for the papacy were thus “removed from their context.” The success of this new interpretation put into the world by Jesuits can be seen in the distribution by the Evangelical churches.
There will be no pre-rapture
One can only speculate about the reasons for the false teaching about the pre-rapture that was brought into the world. At least this variant suggests a quasi second chance. But this does not exist. When Jesus returns, he will have his reward for everyone according to their works. For example in Revelation 22:12 : “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”. This means nothing other than that the verdict has already been pronounced. The judgment (first in the house of God) is already complete at the time of His arrival. How else can the reward be determined when Jesus returns? At least what appears to be superficially important is the consistent expectations of Christians and Jews about the future Messiah and his actions.
What does the Bible say about the end times?
The Bible gives clear information about future events. One only has to read them and compare the easily understandable statements with the sermons of the “modern theologians”.
There is no (secret) rapture. This “fails”. Therefore, all believers will also have to go into the tribulation. Matthew 24:21: “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” God will shorten the days because otherwise there would be no one left on earth. Matthew 24:22: “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.”
But Jesus will come “like a thief”, that is, completely surprising in a situation of contemporary everyday life. Exactly when hardly anyone expects it. 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3: “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” The time of the end will be like it was in Noah’s time before the flood. The return of Jesus will come as a surprise to the “cheeky and scoffers” as will the sudden rain after Noah and his family were safely inside the ark.
With the return of Jesus, the justified dead will rise and the justified living ones will be transformed and come together to meet Jesus. 1 Corinthians 15:51-52: “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
Jesus will appear as lightning rises in the east and shines to the west. Matthew 24:27: “For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” All eyes will be able to see Jesus (in reality and not only via TV, radio, other media and hearsay). Revelation 1:7: “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.”
There will be (temporarily) no one left on earth
Those who have already died and have not been declared righteous will remain in the grave. Revelation 19:21: “And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.”. This clearly depicts that all the ungodly will come to a sudden end. Any living left behind will die. The earth will be desolate and empty. Satan and his apostate angels will “wander about” here doomed to inactivity for 1000 years. During this time the saints will rule in heaven and judge (on the ungodly, or be able to convince themselves of the justice of Jesus’ judgments). A heresy is therefore also the version of a thousand-year kingdom of peace on earth.
After 1000 years the “grand finale”
After the 1000 years, Satan will be released again. All this can be read clearly in Revelation 20:3-8:
“And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.”
All other dead will rise. Satan incites the risen ones to attack the assembled people of God. The convicts are finally destroyed. (What is the mark of the beast? –> here)
Some will experience an “extra resurrection.”
At Jesus’ return, some of the condemned will also be resurrected. However, only in order to be able or to witness the return of Jesus. However, these will perish again with the final annihilation of the earth. Clear indications of this can be found in Revelation 1:7: “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.“.
The people who “pierced” him, that is, who tormented and crucified him, will also see Jesus’ return. Already described in Daniel 12:2:“And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.” Jesus also announced this event to the Pharisee and high priest Caiaphas. Matthew 26:64: “Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.”
After the 1000 years, God creates the new earth
Jesus comes to earth with the saints and the New Jerusalem. After the destruction of Satan and the ungodly, a new earth (restoration) is created. The condition will be like in the first days after creation. Revelation 21:1-2 “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.“
Only the few examples show that the widespread theses of an early rapture, a 1000-year kingdom on earth in peace and harmony, cannot be “completely correct”. The truth is quite different and to learn it, you just have to read the Bible itself(!).
