Demons are real – spiritual beings with malevolent intentions

Do demons or evil spirits belong in the world of fantasies? A huge mistake. Fallen angels are very real. They are highly active and they are up to no good. Their influences are of a huge nature and are usually underestimated.

It works best undetected

What better thing can happen to an enemy than for their existence to either not be recognized or not believed? The scope for action is much greater if no one expects it and takes no precautions at all. This applies in the spiritual area as well as in the strategic area of military actions. What supposedly doesn’t exist doesn’t need to be taken into account. With the massive measures that have been going on for many decades to declare the Bible to be an implausible collection of ancient writings and, at best, a guide for everyday life, the awareness of real, existing personal powers has also been lost.

The great adversary of God, Satan, described in the Bible, is now just a metaphor used by the authors, a symbol for the evil inherent in humans that needs to be overcome. And the former Protestant churches in Germany are particularly at the forefront of such negligent trivialization. The Bible clearly describes that Satan is a personal individual (Info).

Bad-Good
Good is Evil and Evil is Good – The Satanic Reversal

Satan was the highest of all angels appointed by God. He had the most privileges, was perfect, and was the closest to God of all created beings. In Ezekiel 28:13-17 the original characteristics of the once highest angel are described. He, like all other angels and humans, had free will. Satan arrogated himself, wanted to be like God and thus fell. Since then, the adversary has roamed the earth within his given space and is watching to devastate God’s creation and, in particular, to send people to destruction.

Demons are personal individuals

Satan was the highest of all angels and after his fall he took the position of the highest of all fallen angels or demons. He managed to win around a third of all angels to his side (Revelation 12:4). They were all expelled from the kingdom of heaven together with Satan and cast into the earth. Any physical obstacles do not matter. He and his fallen comrades-in-arms can move freely regardless of the circumstances.
Job 1:6:
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

Demons are by no means symbols of malevolent characteristics, but rather personal individuals with reason, a will and freedom of action. The Bible gives clear indications in several places.

The Bible describes demons

Demons are independent beings with a mind or intellect.
Mark 1:23-24:
And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.

Jesus Christ does not act with the demons as if they were imaginary and symbolic. He addresses them personally, as independent beings.
Luke 8:28;30;33:
28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.
30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.
33 Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.

Demons act independently, with reason and a will. They are aware of their existence and speak about themselves in the first person. Luke 11:24-26:
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

The fallen angels have emotions and can be brought into fear by circumstances.
James 2:19:
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Demon worship through idolatry

Talisman idol
Even small things can become idols

The demons are far more present than most people, those people who have at least not yet rejected the reality of demons, may imagine. False gods, i.e. idolatry, have something to do directly with demons. An image, a figure, a talisman, a statue, or any other image that is supposed to represent a false god is only made of dead material. This is how man himself, based on his own faith, directly addresses or even worships a demon based on the revered symbol.

1 Corinthians 10:20-21:
But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.

Deuteronomy 32:17:
They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.

Psalm 106:37:
Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,

Psalm 96:5:
For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.

The difficulty of the spiritual world

Man within the material world and an instilled culture of materialism now finds it very difficult to imagine a spiritual world. You have to be able to touch it, see it, taste it, smell it, hear it and also feel it in order to recognize something as real. The idea that an evil spirit, i.e. a demon, is hiding behind a wooden idol is correspondingly difficult.

However, God’s world, including that of angels and demons, is a spiritual world that, according to our ideas, cannot be “touched”. The rites and ceremonies, particularly those of the Roman Catholic Church, which are overloaded with symbols, are correspondingly nonsensical. The spiritual cannot be any more “ascetic” in the material sense.

John 4:24:
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Religions or churches and their liturgies provide a clear indication of the truth content of the teachings they represent. The more people are supposed to be impressed by ostentation, jewelry, music and other overwhelming things, the more empty or false the teaching is. The Holy Spirit and with it the true power of God remain absent or do not work. The believer who has been led astray may be very impressed by the spectacle presented in the (supposed) service, but a short time later the “air is gone again”.

Battle between good and evil

Cliche Satan
A cliché image of evil

Even the battle between good and evil is not fought with swords, but with truth and heresies, Ephesians 6:12:
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

The war actually waged in a purely spiritual world is designed accordingly. It doesn’t matter at all what material weapons you are equipped with, but what faith you adhere to (spiritually). If man now believes in a “God” behind an idol, then this is the welcome invitation of every demon within the spiritual world. However, the real fallen angelic beings do have the power to carry out actions in the material world that we can see. And the entire spiritual world is watching. They are the witnesses (Glorification of God – Info).

1 Corinthians 4:9:
For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.

Daniel and Joseph – prime examples

With the prophet Daniel and the sold brother Joseph, the Bible shows very good examples of why it is not the material but the spiritual that is crucial. Daniel was exiled to Babylon and Joseph, sold as a slave by his brothers, ended up in Egypt. Babylon and Egypt were the metropolises of paganism and idol worship. Daniel and Joseph were not only completely surrounded by it, but each achieved top positions in their respective governments.

Nevertheless, the omnipresent false idolatry could not harm them. They held fast to their belief in the true, living and only Creator God. They worshiped this true God and Daniel and Joseph saw in the countless idols and images merely dead material without any spiritual meaning. Faith is purely a matter of the head and anything that goes beyond that in the material sense and is worshiped is idolatry and thus also the possibly unconscious worship of demons.

Buddhism – Hinduism – New Age

The predestined religions with an almost obvious demon worship include Buddhism and especially Hinduism. There are also other, less widespread religions such as shamanism that communicate directly with demons. While there is no God in Buddhism, the Buddhist still prays to (imaginary) angels, donates food and drink in so-called spirit houses and bows with a greeting to figures that depict a snake or other animals. Many rituals in Buddhist temples can also be found in the Roman Catholic Church (e.g. sprinkling holy water).

Hinduism idol
Polytheism of Hinduism

Hinduism, in its various forms, can also be described as a pure playground for demons. The countless figures worshiped as gods all have a name and the highest of them are consistently depicted with (“Smurf”) blue skin. This obvious demon worship also forms the spiritual foundation of yoga, which is also widely practiced in the West.

Occultists and so-called theosophists have a particularly close relationship with Hinduism and the cosmological understanding, which finds expression primarily in the New Age. This is proven, among others, by the writings of Helena Petrovna Blavatsky (“Secret Doctrine”, “Isis Revealed”) and Alice A. Bailey (“Lucis Trust Company, World Goodwill”). As hard as it may be to believe, their elaborations found their way into the curriculum developed by the UN (“World Core Curriculum”) for global educational institutions (Info).

Dangerous dealings with demons

The Bible clearly describes the existence of personal, individual demons. They are able to leave their spiritual world to interact in this material world. However, this is not for the benefit of people. At the same time, influential institutions are placing an emphasis on these apostate philosophies for education in schools while increasing attacks on the gospel. “This stinks to high heaven, and really stinks.”

Another important fact in this context is that there are no ghosts of deceased people. To do this, humans would first need such a quality, such as a soul that is independent of the body. But these don’t exist. The Bible is unambiguous and clear about this too (Info).

Nevertheless, one can always hear or read that ghosts either appeared uninvited or were summoned by so-called necromancers. Channeling, one of the modern names. These apparitions may well be real, but they are by no means the spirits of the deceased. They cannot be this at all. However, they are demons and at this point the boundaries of what is “permissible” have long been left behind.

God strongly warns and forbids

Any conscious contact, even the attempt, will be condemned by God in the strongest possible terms. It is an abomination to Him.

Leviticus 19:31:
Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.

Leviticus 20:6:
And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.

Deuteronomy 18:10-13:
There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.

This also includes supposedly harmless things such as card reading, lead casting, dowsing, working out horoscopes, dowsing, palm reading, etc. All of these practices serve the spiritual based on belief in them. This is nothing more than sending invitation cards to the demons who are just waiting.

Human voluntariness

Card idol
Inconspicuous things invite demons

God has endowed man with free will. Just like the angels (and demons) that are usually invisible to us. Love only has value and only exists if it is voluntary. You can’t force love. That would be squaring the circle. So God does not force our love for Him. He draws people to himself through Jesus Christ, invites them, calls them to turn from their wrong paths. But coercion is only one of Satan’s means. Man himself must turn to God voluntarily, of his own free will.

It would be child’s play for the demons to attack all of humanity, take them by surprise, occupy them and drive them straight into the abyss in their generated madness. But it doesn’t happen. For one simple reason. You can also call it a “fair play” instituted by God. Just as God leaves man his free will and relies on man letting the Holy Spirit intervene for his sanctification, the hands of Satan and his minions are tied so that they cannot attack man directly.

Only when the person himself makes the decision, for example to send an invitation to the demons using occult practices, can the adversary take action against this person. The result does not have to be like being possessed by a demon. But due to the influences now permitted, the moral decay of the person affected is as good as sealed. Satan does not care how man is lost, as long as he is lost.

Current Traps – Activating the Demons

This is a spiritual war that is not fought with knives and guns. That is why people must also expect attacks of a spiritual nature. To this end, it is highly advisable to dispel the possible image of a terrible-looking Satan, with horns, a trident and the smell of sulfur, because 2. Corinthians 11:14:
for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

Satan and his other fallen angels prefer to use what looks good rather than a knife to the throat. False teachings, but well-sounding, pleasant, comfortable, possibly also logical in itself, and above all, makes you feel good. But they are contrary to the statutes of God. A very widespread practice, but extremely dangerous, are meditative exercises based on the Far Eastern model. Even taught by the once Protestant churches and called “contemplative meditation”. Long known in the Roman Catholic Church as the “Ignatian Exercises”.

Through this practice, the practitioner’s head is figuratively emptied and space is created for conscious sensations. Just as humans naturally find it pleasant. The imagination of a selected topic to touch, see, taste, smell, hear and also feel. Ignatius of Loyola used this practice in making decisions. A spiritual bridge between this world and the hereafter. This is a clear invitation for the demons to become active on this person and provide the “right” answers.

This allows a downward spiral to be activated. Once in the demonic sphere of influence, even experienced as very emotionally pleasant, the gates are wide open for the instillation of further heresies and imaginations. And this to the “complete conviction” of the person concerned. The result: blindness and stubbornness towards the truth of the gospel. Some representatives of the large churches demonstrate this situation every day (Info).

Protection from the spiritually waged war

Bibellesung
Protection from demons can be found in the Bible

The attacks on people who still believe in the gospel by Satan and his accomplices will increase. This was not only predicted, but has long since become visible. Revelation 12:17:
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

How the believer should act in such cases has been demonstrated by the One who came into this world for the sole purpose of bringing us the light of truth and the shining example. Jesus Christ. He was attacked (spiritually) by Satan after his 40 days of fasting with the intention of causing Jesus Christ to sin. How did Jesus react? He quoted words from Scripture: “It is written…“.

The “Armor of God”

In just a few verses, the Bible contains “instructions” on how to successfully ward off such attacks, which are likely to occur with certainty. Ephesians 6:10-18:
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

In summary: Study the Word of God, hold firmly to the faith as demonstrated by Jesus Christ, practice righteousness (keeping God’s commandments), pray and intercede continually.

Conclusion and haste

hourglass
There’s hardly any time left

Demons, and therefore Satan, are real. They are as real as the sun that rises every day and as real as the city public order office with its fines against parking offenders. The underlying “phenomenon” is the extent to which the knowledge of the existence of God’s adversaries has been pushed out of people’s heads, even as the activities of these spiritual beings have increased sharply. Anyone who does not quickly leave everything behind in order to return to God without having accomplished anything, in the knowledge of the countless sins, in repentance and humility, will succumb to the deceptions manifested in this world without noticing it.

This affected person may still believe that he is doing God a favor if he sets out to harshly persecute the remaining people who keep the commandments and bear the testimony of Jesus (Info). Time is now very short.

But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Matthew 24:37-39
